What you'll be doing

Day One: Arrive in Malta
- Dinner included

Day Two: Valletta - a capital experience
Our tour starts with a visit to Malta’s capital city, the picturesque Valletta. The capital offers both culture and relaxation. Our day continues with a short walk to the Upper Barrakka Gardens, which provide wonderful panoramic views over the Grand Harbour and across the Three Cities of Senglea, Vittoriosa and Kalkara. From the Barrakka Gardens, the tour proceeds to St John’s Co-Cathedral, where we will enter this magnificent building to soak in its beauty and history. We then enjoy some free time before our final stop on the Valletta tour: The Malta Experience. This audio-visual show tells the dramatic story of the islands’ 7,000-year history and is presented in a purpose-built panoramic auditorium.
The show chronicles Malta’s unique past in just 45 minutes. A must-see audio-visual treat, The Malta Experience will enrich your understanding of the islands, their people and the places you’ll visit. Once back at the hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure before meeting for dinner.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Three: Mosta, Rabat and Mdina
Our tour today starts with a visit to Mosta Basilica, a miraculous survivor of a direct bomb hit during the Second World War. Officially known as the Sanctuary Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, it is commonly referred to as the Rotunda of Mosta or the Mosta Dome, and is dedicated to the Assumption of Our Lady into Heaven. We journey on to Mdina and Rabat, where we will view St Paul’s Cathedral from the outside in Mdina. This is followed by a walking tour through Mdina itself — one of Europe’s finest examples of an ancient walled city, extraordinary in its mix of medieval and Baroque architecture. The rest of our afternoon is at leisure before meeting for dinner in the evening.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Four: Day at leisure
Today is at our leisure, giving us the chance to make the most of the hotel’s facilities, including the indoor pool and spa — or perhaps simply sit on the terrace with a cup of coffee, watching the world go by. If you fancy getting out and about, the resort of Sliema, with its shops, bars and restaurants, is right on our doorstep.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Five: Full Day Gozo Tour
Today we have an earlier start as we travel over to Gozo. There’s no better way to discover the island’s highlights than on this full-day tour. We’ll explore all four corners of Gozo, taking in attractions such as Qala Point, Xlendi Bay, the Inland Sea, and the Victoria Citadel, among others. We also have the chance to see some of the island’s most famous landmarks, including the Neolithic Ġgantija Temples and the medieval charm of Victoria, the island’s capital. We’ll visit the salt pans and limestone quarries, as well as a craft centre and the renowned Inland Sea — a peaceful lagoon linked to the open sea by a natural rock tunnel.
- Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

Day Six: Three Cities & Marsaxlokk Village
After breakfast, we set out on our next excursion, beginning with a drive to the famous Cottonera region of Malta, known as the Three Cities. We stop at Vittoriosa, one of the oldest localities on the Maltese islands. After a short walk along the promenade, we enjoy a guided stroll through this historic city, passing its main square and continuing to the Church of St Lawrence. From the main square, we also enjoy a guided visit to the Inquisitor’s Palace — an ancient building dating back to the time of the Knights, and once a feared holding place for those accused of plotting against the state. Most who entered never came out again! From Vittoriosa, we continue further south to the beautiful fishing village of Marsaxlokk, famous for its many multi-coloured Maltese dhajsa fishing boats bobbing in the harbour. Take time to stroll along the port and enjoy some free time at your leisure.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Seven: Day at Leisure
We spend our final day in Malta at leisure, enjoying the facilities of the hotel and seafront resort.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Eight: Departure Day
After breakfast we check out and transfer to the airport for our return flight home.
- Breakfast included
