Day Three: Montefalco Winery Visit
Our walk starts in the centre of Montefalco for a quick guided tour and discovery. From here, we walk through the vineyards and rolling countryside until we reach Scacciadiavoli Cantina where we visit the oldest and most precious vineyard in the town for wine tasting and a light lunch.
- Transfer time: 25 Minutes
- Length of walk: 10KM / 6.2 miles
- Expected duration: 2hrs to 2hrs 30 minutes
- Terrain: A mix of quiet lanes, vineyard tracks, and rural paths through rolling hills.
- Ascent/Descent: The terrain includes gentle ascents and descents, uneven sections, and some exposed areas with little shade.

Day Four: Umbrian Woodland - Truffle Hunting
Our walk today has a wonderful foodie twist! We enjoy a truffle hunting demonstration in the Umbrian woodland, in the company of a local expert and their specialist truffle hunting dogs. We have a light lunch and truffle tasting at a local farm where perhaps we can sample some of our finds!

- Length of walk: 8KM / 5 Miles
- Expected duration of walk:E 2hrs 30 minutes
- Terrain: Smooth
- Ascent/Descent: The route includes a fairly steep downhill section on the way there and a steep uphill section on the way back. The second part is quite hard but short. We walk through the city center of Trevi lower part to the highest part where the hotel is. This can be shortened and changed subject to weather conditions.

Day Five: Day at Leisure
A well-earned day at leisure! Why not further explore Trevi’s local culture, surrounding countryside and quaint craft shops.

Day Six: Guided Walk through Medieval Trails
Our wonderful guided walk today is along the medieval aqueduct where we explore the medieval castle of Pissignano - a typical example of a hill castle. We take some time to stop for a visit to the olive mill and enjoy olive oil tasting.

- Expected duration of walk: 2hrs 30 minutes to 3 hours
- Terrain: Mostly Smooth
- Ascent/Descent: The route includes medium steep downhills and uphills. On the way to Fonti del Clitunno, we have a break for an olive mill visit and olive oil tasting.

Day Seven: Monte Subasio
Today is our final walk where we begin in Monte Subasio and continue along the beautiful Roman aqueduct of Spello. We pause for lunch (not included) and then continue with a walk to Spoleto.

- Length of walk: 12KM / 7.5 miles
- Expected duration of walk: First walk - 2hrs 30 minutes / second walk - 1 hour
- Terrain: Mostly Smooth
- Ascent/Descent: The route includes medium steep downhills and up hills.

Day Eight: Departure Day
It's time to say “Arrivederci”! After transferring to the airport, we board our flight home.

Guided walks are included as part of this holiday. Your dedicated walking guide will brief you in resort on the daily walking programme.
The walking programme is graded by difficulty, and you can expect to walk varying distances with a range of ascents and descents. Some walks may be challenging, with uneven or rough terrain underfoot and sections at higher altitude. Please refer to the day-by-day itinerary for full details of each walk.
A good level of physical fitness is required to fully enjoy this holiday.
It is important that you consider whether your chosen holiday is suitable for your level of fitness, mobility and any medical conditions or additional needs. If you are unsure, please contact our team before booking. Care should be taken at all times, particularly on uneven or wet terrain. If you normally use walking poles, we recommend bringing them with you. Sturdy walking boots or walking shoes are essential.
Please note that the route and content of the walking programme may need to change during the holiday, at the discretion of the specialist walking guide or local organiser, if local conditions require.

- Waterproofs – jacket and trousers
- Walking poles – recommended as they provide good support for the knees, particularly on downhill sections of walks and when conditions are wet/slippery

- Umbrella – it can be used also for protection from the sun as well as rain

- Good, high factor sunscreen, sunhat and sunglasses – the sun’s strength is often multiplied in mountainous areas.
