On arrival in Paphos, we take the short transfer to the four-star adult-only Tui Bui Pioneer Beach Hotel and check-in for the start of an immersive week with our fellow Solos travellers.

Day Two: Paphos & Kato Paphos Archaeological Park

Day Two: Paphos & Kato Paphos Archaeological Park

After breakfast, we head out for a guided exploration of Paphos' rich history. We begin with a visit to the iconic Paphos Castle, a medieval fortress overlooking the harbour, followed by a tour of Kato Paphos Archaeological Park, home to stunning Roman mosaics and ancient ruins. You'll then enjoy a relaxing lunch at the charming Paphos old town, where local flavours meet Mediterranean flair before having the afternoon free to relax or explore at our own pace.

This evening we meet for a welcome drink and traditional dinner at a local tavern in the heart of Paphos. Savour authenic regional dishes, soak in the rustic atmosphere, and enjoy the flavours and hospitality that Cyprus is known for.

After a leisurely breakfast we head to Sofia's House, a charming cultural gem showcasing traditional Cypriot life and craftmanship. Next, we head to the Makarounas winery, where we'll enjoy a guided tour and a tasting of locally produced wines in a picturesque village setting. This afternoon is free to relax or explore more.

Our journey today begins with a scenic drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Pano Platres , where we'll have time to explore this tranquil mountain village at our own pace. Sip a fresh coffee at a cosy local café, soak in the fresh air, and let the peaceful vibe set the tone for the day. Next, we head to the storybook village of Omodo - a true gem nestled in the hills. Here, we'll enjoy a delicious, locally-inspired lunch before setting off on a guided walking tour through its enchanting, cobbled streets, lined with traditional stone houses and artisan shops before a wine tasting experience, sampling some of the region's finest vintages in the heart of Cyprus wine country.

Day Six: Pissouri & Cooking Class

Day Six: Pissouri & Cooking Class

Today's experience takes us to the charming village of Pissouri, where we enjoy a hands-on cooking lesson and lunch. Discover the secrets of traditional Cypriot cuisine, guided by local experts in a warm and welcoming setting. After lunch, enjoy free time to explore the village, stroll through its quaint streets, and soak in the relaxed village atmosphere before returning to the Pioneer Beach Hotel.

Walk the promenade to Paphos harbour, take an optional tour, relax by the pool or revisit your favourite spots. We can enjoy our day at leisure before gathering in the evening for a special farewell dinner, celebrating the week's experiences with great food, warm company and lasting memories.

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.

 
The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters and hotel staff of approximately €25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burdern of who, when and how much to tip.
Passport & Visa Information
To enter Cyprus your passport must meet 2 requirements. It must be: 
  • less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’)
  • valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’) 
Check both the issue date and the expiry date in your passport. If you renewed your passport early, extra months may have been added to its expiry date. This could affect the requirement for your passport to be less than 10 years old. 
 
A visa is not required by holders of passports endorsed “British Citizen” for stays of upto 90 days in any 180-day period. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct visa, a valid passport and any other travel documents for your holiday.

What to wear
