We include a five day programme of morning organised tennis, with friendly and competitive games arranged by our Solos Tour Leader. Our tennis is based at the Conde Jackson Maspalomas Tennis Club, which is around a 6-8 minute walk  from our hotel. 
 
The tennis club offers 7 clay tennis courts.

Fantastic Tennis Fun

Without doubt would recommend this holiday! First holiday travelling alone for years and have to say everything went swimmingly well made more so by our Tour Leader, Mark Atherton. Moving onto the tennis – well, Mark organised us. Really good fun.(The tennis courts (clay - which was a first for me) were around a 10 min walk from the hotel. If you are thinking of a tennis holiday with Mark and Solos book it!

It was all good. Lovely people and Mark was excellent - organising the tennis and also organising other activities in the afternoon and on the free day. Really making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. Lots of laughs.

Fantastic time

I had a fantastic time in Gran Canaria where i met a wonderful new group of positive people.The Tour leader Mark Atherton was very good at giving us daily options of what we could each choose to do ( no pressure whatsoever) and organised walks, tennis , paddle tennis, evening entertainment etc along with his natural wit Mark kept the positive vibe throughout our stay.

Important Information

A solos social tennis holiday is not suitable for complete beginners.  Guests must be of a competant tennus club standard and able to:

  1. Hold a rally
  2. Serve and return to a good standard
Passport, Visa & Entry Requirements
To enter the Canary Islands your passport must meet 2 requirements. It must be:
  • less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’) 
  • valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’) 
Check both the issue date and the expiry date in your passport. If you renewed your passport early, extra months may have been added to its expiry date. This could affect the requirement for your passport to be less than 10 years old. 
 
A visa is not required by holders of passports endorsed “British Citizen” for stays of upto 90 days in any 180-day period. Please note that stays in other EU countries counts towards this 90 day period. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct visa, a valid passport and any other travel documents for your holiday.

Health Requirements
Compulsory vaccinations: None. 
 
All clients are responsible for acquainting themselves with up to date health information of the countries being visited and where necessary take the required precautions. Dress Code
Either tennis or casual attire during the day. Proper tennis footwear is of course required when on court. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the evening. Please note that shorts should not be worn for evening meals. Appropriate comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing.

Gratuities
We suggest a Group Collection to cover transfer drivers, and hotel staff of €25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % add on.
