Day Two: Explore Val dei Mulini / Costermano

Day Three: Day at leisure
Captivating Lake Garda has attracted the rich and famous to its shores for many years. At 370 sq km, it’s the largest of the Italian lakes, spanning three of Italy’s most beautiful regions - Lombardy, Trentino and Veneto. The scenery has a Mediterranean feel to it, with vineyards, olive groves and citrus orchards dominating the landscapes, mainly due to the region’s uniquely mild micro-climate.
- Breakfast & Dinner Included

Day Four: Garda / San Vigilio / Torri del Benaco
Our walk today takes us firstly along the stunning shores of Lake Garda, until we reach the magnificent Villa Canossa. We continue to San Vigilio, to admire the stunning ancient villa, host to royalty, nobility and film stars. The route rises to a panoramic spot above the legendary Baiadelle Sirene, before entering the woods where there are still Bronze Age ancient graffiti carvings to admire. From here, a panoramic walk takes us to Scaligero Castle, where we will enjoy lunch at a local trattoria before taking a relaxing ferry ride back to Garda. We can spend the afternoon at our own pace to do our own thing. Walking: 9 km
- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Included
- Trattoria restaurant does not cater for vegan or gluten free requests

Day Five: Day at leisure
Why not take a stroll along Garda's delightful promenade or ferry-hop in between the lake’s charming, colourful towns. Alternatively, enjoy a leisurely lunch on its shores watching the world go by.
- Breakfast & Dinner Included

Day Six: Tour of la Rocca
Our walk today rises gently uphill to the ancient monastery at Rocca San Giorgio. From here, the trail enters the woods leading to the beautiful viewpoint at Rocca Vecchia. A stepped trail leads us back to base, passing a statue of the Madonna, constructed to protect the town of Garda. After this, we can enjoy an afternoon however we wish. Walking: 8 km
- Breakfast & Dinner Included

Day Seven: Day at leisure
Why not venture out and visit one of the other beautiful parts of this region. Local buses can take you to Verona or Malcesine, or even take a boat trip over to Sirmione and visit Castello Scaligero. Your Tour Leader will be happy to assist you with any arrangements you may like to make.
- Breakfast & Dinner Included

Day Eight: Departure Day
It's time to say “Arrivederci”! After transferring to the airport, we will board our flight home.

Trip Reviews
Fabulous holiday
Had a fabulous holiday in the most beautiful place, every which way I turned was another lovely little cafe along a lovely little street. The area was so clean, we walked three times in the week with a local guide and there was plenty to do on the other days, with buses and ferries to take us to neighbouring towns. I was blessed to have a great group for my first ever solo holiday and our amazing tour leader Gary Bailey went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time!
Highly recommended
Just back from Lake Garda Walking - highly recommended. Beautiful location and 3 lovely walks. Hotel was good and located close to the centre of town, it also has the benefit of a lovely pool. Lots to see and do in the area on non walking days. Blessed with a fabulous group of fellow travellers and a wonderful tour leader - Gary Bailey. He took time to get to know everyone, made suggestions of things to do when not walking and was great fun. A wonderful week
Walking tours were excellent
I was impressed by my first solos holiday in Lake Garda and by Gary Bailey. He did a great job in bringing us together as a group but also making it clear that if something didn’t suit, and we wanted to do our own thing, he assisted in doing research to find an alternative e.g. ferry timetables. Standard of accommodation and organised walking tours was excellent. Will be booking again.
Solos organise everything
Solos organise everything, flights transfers and hotel. On a recent trip to Garda my group of fellow Solos had Gary Bailey as our tour leader. He was professional, friendly and fun throughout the week, he liaised with our walking guide and let us know where and when to meet for the day's walk. Looking for my next Solos holiday but undecided which to choose.

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.
Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters, and hotel staff of approximately €20.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip.
