What you will be doing...

Day One: Arrival into Austria
- Dinner included

Day Two: Innsbruck
After breakfast, we board the coach and set off for Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol region. Renowned for its blend of imperial heritage and contemporary architecture, Innsbruck offers a striking backdrop of the jagged Nordkette mountain range towering above the city. We'll take in the highlights on a guided tour, visiting key landmarks such as the Imperial Palace and the famous Golden Roof in the old town, among others. Following the tour, there's free time to enjoy lunch at your leisure before we regroup to ride the funicular from the city centre up to Seegrube, situated at 1,905 metres above sea level and part of the Nordkette range. Here, you can take a short stroll along the mountain path to soak in panoramic views across the Inn Valley, or simply unwind with a refreshing (or warming) drink on the restaurant terrace. After time to admire the scenery and capture some memorable photographs, we return to the hotel for dinner and our overnight stay.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Three: Lake Achensee
We begin the day with a journey to the stunning Lake Achensee, a picturesque mountain lake nestled in the heart of the majestic Austrian Alps. Surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery, we’ll take time to absorb the tranquillity before enjoying a relaxing boat cruise across the serene waters. Following our cruise, we indulge in lunch or afternoon tea at a charming mountain restaurant, where the warm Austrian ambience enhances the experience. As the sun begins to dip behind the peaks, we make our way back to the hotel for dinner—sharing stories and swapping photographs from a memorable day in the Alps.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Four: Ziller Valley & Krimml Waterfalls
After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, we embark on a picturesque train ride through the breathtaking Ziller Valley - the widest valley south of the Inn Valley which gets its name from the Zillertal Alps, the glaciated section of the Alps in which it lies. As we step aboard the charming vintage train, we will be serenaded by the melodies of talented local musicians while taking in the breathtaking views. After a relaxed lunch break, we head to the nearby cascades in Krimml. The Krimml Waterfalls in Austria’s SalzburgerLand thunder down over a height of 380 metres (1,250 ft). After a short walk from the car park, we will hear the thundering of the crashing water and witness the air filled with white clouds of spray mist. After marvelling at the waterfalls and capturing memorable photographs, we'll make our way back to the hotel for dinner.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Five: Day at leisure
Today is a day of leisure and personal exploration, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Austrian Alps at our own pace. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we have the area around the hotel to explore deep in the mountains, known for its charming architecture, delightful cafés, and restaurants. We can choose to hike on the mountain paths or opt for a more laid-back approach and relax at the hotel.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Six: South Tyrol
Today we leave Austria to see the southern part of Tyrol in Italy. Our journey takes us through sensational landscapes, with a delightful stop for coffee in the picturesque town of Sterzing. After our stop, we continue our trip to Bolzano, for a guided tour of the provincial capital. Bolzano, a charming city nestled in the heart of the Italian Alps, offers an incredible cultural mix of Italian and German influences, delicious cuisine, contrasting architecture and stunning scenery. It is also home to Otzi the Iceman - a glacier mummy from the Copper Age who had been preserved in the glacier ice, with his clothing and equipment, discovered accidentally by hikers in 1991.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Seven: Ambras Castle & iconic Ski Jump 'Bergisel'
Our first stop today takes us to the splendid Ambras Castle. Here we will explore its opulent halls, adorned with exquisite artworks, ancient armour, and royal collections. With an audio guide as our companion, we delve into the fascinating stories and legends that surround this architectural marvel, gaining insights into the lives of the nobility who once inhabited its grand rooms. This afternoon, we make our way to the iconic Ski Jump 'Bergisel' which by now has been established as an emblem of the city. Whilst here, we will ascend to the observation deck and relish in panoramic views of the surrounding alpine landscapes. To celebrate this unforgettable experience, we raise a glass of sparkling wine before heading back to the hotel for a farewell dinner as a group.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Eight: Return home
After breakfast, we spend the remainder of our time as we wish before heading back to the airport for our flight home.
- Breakfast included
