What you'll be doing

Day One: Arrive in Barcelona
Arrive at Barcelona Airport and travel north to the beautiful coastal town of Roses on the spectacular Costa Brava. With its relaxed atmosphere, sandy beaches and lively seaside promenade, it’s the perfect base for exploring the region. After checking in at our hotel, we meet our fellow travellers and sit down together for a welcome dinner.

Day Two: Roses Express to Cap de Creus Nature Park

Day Three: Girona Flower Festival & walking tour
Today we visit Girona, one of Catalonia’s most enchanting cities. During the annual Flower Festival (Temps de Flors), the historic centre is transformed by colourful floral displays adorning bridges, courtyards and ancient buildings. We meet our local guide for a 2.5-hour walking tour, taking in the medieval old town, impressive cathedral, the Jewish Quarter and the picturesque houses along the Onyar River. Enjoy lunch at leisure, then spend a free afternoon exploring, shopping or relaxing in a café.

Day Four: Day at leisure in Roses
We enjoy a full free day at our own pace, with the freedom to relax on the beach, take a dip in the pool or wander through the old town.

Day Five: Núria Valley & the Sanctuary of Núria
We travel inland to the stunning Núria Valley, set high in the Pyrenees. We board the rack railway for a scenic journey through mountains and valleys to the Sanctuary of Núria, a peaceful retreat surrounded by dramatic peaks and a tranquil lake. There’s time to walk, take photographs or simply enjoy the serenity of this unique mountain setting.

Day Six: A Cross-Border Experience in France
Today we cross into France for a memorable day trip. In the morning, we ride the scenic Red Train (Train Rouge) from Rivesaltes to Axat, travelling through picturesque valleys and charming countryside. Enjoy lunch at leisure and time to explore the local area before returning to Roses in the afternoon.

Day Seven: Exploring Dali's artistic vision in Figueres
Today we spend the morning in Figueres, birthplace of Salvador Dalí. We visit the world-famous Dalí Theatre-Museum on a guided tour, discovering one of the most important surrealist museums in the world. Expect bold colours, imaginative installations and fascinating insight into Dalí’s life and artistic vision.

Day Eight: Departure day
After breakfast, we transfer from Roses to Barcelona Airport for our return journey home, taking with us unforgettable memories of coastal scenery, historic cities, mountain landscapes and shared experiences with our fellow travellers.

Essential Information
A visa is not required by holders of passports endorsed “British Citizen” for stays of upto 90 days in any 180-day period.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct visa, a valid passport and any other travel documents for your holiday. All information provided relates to British citizens who hold or are entitled to apply for a British passport.
From the 12th October 2025 the EU is introducing a new European Entry System (EES) that will be phased in and fully operational by the 10th April 2026. Non-EU nationals including British passport holders will now be required to complete biometric checks on arrival and exit to Schengen countries, which will include facial recognition and fingerprints. There is no cost for this, and no action needs to be taken prior to departure.
