With our escorted New Year break at the four-star Forest Pines Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort in Lincolnshire, you can bid farewell to 2025 and ring in the New Year in style with your fellow Solos guests. With dinner and dancing on New Year's Eve, a fantastic on-site health club, and a full day exploring the historic city of Lincoln with it's winding streets, majestic castle and stunning cathedral, you can relax, enjoy great food and get out and explore - the perfect way to to kick off the New Year.

What you'll be doing
Day One: Arrival Day
Check-in at our hotel. When evening comes, enjoy a welcome drink with other Solos guests, before dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Day Two: New Year's Eve
Today we travel to the Cathedral City of Lincoln. Our guided walking tour will lead us through the city's diverse history, taking in beautiful architecture and offering insight into the people and stories which make up the city's past and present. We will visit the city's Gothic style cathedral and take a tour of its interior, before venturing on to the medieval castle built by William the Conqueror.
Once back at the hotel, we can take some time to relax before meeting our fellow Solos for dinner, drinks and dancing to see in the New Year.

Day Three: New Year's Day
Today is a free day to choose to do as much or as little as you like. Make use of the hotel's fantastic facilities, take some time to explore the grounds, set in 190 acres of Lincolnshire woodland, or take a dip in the indoor pool.

Located in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside and set in 190 acres of woodland, this hotel is the perfect place to unwind. With an on-site spa, health club and golf course, the hotel also provides a great base for visiting the historic city of Lincoln.
Facilities include
The on-site Scunthorpe restaurant serves comforting dishes, while The Grill Restaurant offers a more relaxed vibe. The Lounge Bar is ideal for a coffee and The Pines Bar is the perfect spot for afternoon tea. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, sensory shower and gym, exercise studios and a scenic jogging trail. Please note that only the gym and swimming pool facilities will be open on New Year's Day.

Location & Transport
The hotel can be found off Junction 4 of the M180. Complimentary car parking is available. Scunthorpe Railway Station is approximately 6.1 miles away, around 15 minutes by taxi.
Dress Code
The dress code for during the day is casual, layers are recommended. Comfortable shoes for walking and sightseeing are recommended. In the evenings the dress code is smart casual, with gentlemen requested to wear a shirt and tie.
Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual.We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides and hotel staff (including restaurant, kitchen and reception staff) of approximately £10.
Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of bar staff and housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (the rounding up of the drinks bill and a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, restaurants expect a 10% gratuity (do check that service has not already been added to your bill). For taxis 10% of the metered fare.
