What you’ll be doing

Day One: Arrive in Prague
Welcome to Prague! After arriving at Prague Airport, we’ll proceed through immigration and collect our luggage before heading to our hotel. Once we’ve settled in, we’ll come together with our fellow travellers for a welcome meeting, where our local guide will share all the key details for our stay – including how best to make use of our included public transport ticket. We’ll enjoy a city orientation walk before gathering for dinner at the hotel this evening.

Day Two: Prague City Tour & New Year Celebrations
Continuing along the Vltava through the Malá Strana district, we make our way into the historic centre. Soon, we arrive in the enchanting Old Town, where we’ll explore the famous Old Town Square, admire the Gothic towers of the Church of Our Lady before Týn, and watch the world-renowned Prague Astronomical Clock in action. Along the way, our guide will share fascinating stories of medieval kings, alchemists, emperors, and the dramatic events that have shaped the city.

Day Three: Prague Castle
After a leisurely morning, we set off in the afternoon for Prague Castle, the largest coherent castle complex in the world and an ancient symbol of the Czech state. Our local guide will show us the interiors of the immense St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace with its late Gothic Vladislav Hall, the Romanesque St. George’s Basilica, and the picturesque Golden Lane. Later, we can wander through the gardens and admire the palaces and churches of the Lesser Town.

Day Four: Departure from Prague
After breakfast, we’ll transfer to the airport for our return flight home.

Essential Information
To enter Czech Republic your passport must meet 2 requirements. It must be:
less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’)
valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’) Check both the issue date and the expiry date in your passport.
If you renewed your passport early, extra months may have been added to its expiry date. This could affect the requirement for your passport to be less than 10 years old.
A visa is not required by holders of passports endorsed “British Citizen” for stays of upto 90 days in any 180-day period. Please note that stays in other EU countries counts towards this 90 day period.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct visa, a valid passport and any other travel documents for your holiday. If you are not a British citizen and do not hold a British passport, you must make your own enquiries as to the applicable requirements.
From the 12th October 2025 the EU is introducing a new European Entry System (EES) that will be phased in and fully operational by the 10th April 2026. Non-EU nationals including British passport holders will now be required to complete biometric checks on arrival and exit to Schengen countries, which will include facial recognition and fingerprints. There is no cost for this, and no action needs to be taken prior to departure.
