We continue to the historic village of Bamburgh, where we’ll visit the Grade I listed St. Aidan’s Church and learn the inspiring story of Grace Darling’s heroic sea rescue in 1838. Our stop will include a visit to the imposing Bamburgh Castle, whose origins date back to Anglo Saxon times.
A short drive takes us on to lunch at the Barn at Beal (at own cost), before we cross the tidal causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
