What you’ll be doing

Day One: Arrive in Venice
- Dinner included

Day Two: Explore Venice
After breakfast, we meet our English-speaking guide at the hotel and begin our exploration of this fascinating city. Our first stop is the Fenice Theatre, built in 1792 and originally known simply as the 'Grand Theatre of Venice'. Following a devastating fire, it was renamed La Fenice — the Phoenix — after the mythical bird reborn from its ashes. From here, we continue to San Marco, the elegant Scala del Bovolo, and the charming bell tower of Campo Sant'Angelo, before admiring the Palaces built in the Venetian Gothic style and visiting the Fortuny Museum. Winding our way through a maze of narrow, hidden streets, we reach Manon Field, home to the statue of the Venetian hero who helped restore the Republic during the 1848 revolution. The tour concludes with a stunning view over the Grand Canal near the iconic Rialto Bridge, and of course, a visit to the world-famous Ducal Palace.
- Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

Day Three: Day at leisure
After a leisurely breakfast, the day is yours to spend it however you wish. The location of our hotel provides a base that means you can walk to many of the popular sights of the city, including the famous St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge.
- Breakfast included

Day Four: Journey to Padua
After breakfast, we make our way by foot to the train station (25 min walk) to catch a train to Padua (approx. 30 min train journey). We meet our guide in Via VIII Febbraio, in front of the University Building - Palazzo Bo, where we begin our walking tour in the area of the Old City. Our tour is focused on the visit to the Piazza Duomo, Baptistery of the Cathedral, Museum of the Diocese. The Cathedral of Padua is dedicated to the Assumption: the present Church is the 3rd one built in the area of the old town and was built in the time when Padua was under the influence of the Republic of Venice (1405-1797). Many architects were engaged to plan and build it, and amongst them - Michelangelo Buonarroti.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Five: Departure Day
After breakfast, we’ll have some free time to explore Venice a little more before transferring to the airport by water taxi for our return flight home.
- Breakfast included
