What you'll be doing
Day One: Arrive in Winchester
Day Two: Guided Tour & Christmas Market
After breakfast, we meet our guide for a walking tour of historic Winchester. We follow the River Itchen, pass Wolvesey Castle, Winchester College, and No. 8 College Street—where Jane Austen spent her final weeks—before arriving at the Cathedral Close. Here we visit Winchester Cathedral, Europe’s longest medieval cathedral, and the charming Christmas Market set in its Inner Close. With around 130 German-inspired wooden chalets and a focus on eco-friendly practices like LED lighting and solar power, it offers a festive, picture-perfect setting.
We may then continue with our guide to the Peninsula Barracks and Westgate, explore at leisure, or return to the hotel to relax before dinner.
Day Three: Depart Winchester
After a final breakfast as a group, we depart Winchester at our leisure.
