We begin our day with an early morning yoga session at Taj Khema, set against the serene backdrop of the Taj Mahal.

We then return to our hotel for a hearty breakfast, followed by a visit to the world-renowned Taj Mahal - a breathtaking symbol of eternal love. Next, we discover the art of marble inlay at a local workshop, where skilled craftsmen continue this centuries-old tradition.

For lunch, we visit the inspiring Sheroes Hangout, a pioneering initiative run by women who have survived acid attacks. This café aims to raise awareness about acid violence and challenge societal stigmas associated with survivors by providing them with employment, community, and empowerment. Day six: Pink City Rickshaw & Amber Fort

We start the day with a charming rickshaw ride through Jaipur in a Pink City Rickshaw — a vibrant initiative by ACCESS Development Services that empowers local women from low-income households by providing them with meaningful employment as trained rickshaw drivers.

With the canopy down and the cool morning breeze in our hair, our designated rider will meet us at the hotel and take us on a peaceful journey through the quiet streets of Jaipur - to enjoy a rare moment of calm in this lively city.

We begin with a visit to the Govind Devji Temple inside the City Palace, where the early morning aarti (prayer ceremony) creates a powerful spiritual atmosphere. We join locals in chanting as you witness this moving ritual at the 18th-century temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, once the personal deity of Jaipur’s royal family.

Next, explore the bustling wholesale flower market near Hawa Mahal, where turbaned vendors trade sacks filled with fragrant roses and marigolds — a feast for the senses. We pause for photos at the Palace of Winds and a cup of cardamom chai in a traditional clay cup, before passing the grand Albert Hall Museum on our return.

We return to our hotel for breakfast and some well-deserved relaxation for the rest of the morning.

After breakfast, we set off on an excursion to the majestic Amber Fort, a romantic and iconic Rajasthani palace perched on a rugged hillside. A jeep will take us up to the fort, offering scenic views along the way.

From the outside, the fort’s weathered stone walls exude strength and beauty - but it’s the interior that truly dazzles. Step into a world of royal grandeur, where intricate miniature paintings bring to life scenes of royal hunts, battles, and grand celebrations. Marvel at the artistry of the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) inside Jag Mandir - a breathtaking chamber where thousands of tiny mirror fragments, once imported from Belgium, shimmer with every flicker of light.

After the visit, we return to our hotel.

Wander through Kagazi Mohalla, the artisan quarter, where you’ll meet local craftspeople — known as Kagazis — and watch them bring intricate designs to life on textiles using hand-carved wooden blocks. The town is also home to a beautifully carved Jain temple, dating back to the 10th century, known for its serene atmosphere and detailed architecture.

Return to Jaipur in the afternoon for some time to relax at your hotel.

No shorts or vest tops in restaurants. When visiting temples and certain museums dress politely; shorts, singlets, spaghetti straps, skirts, tank-tops and open backed sandals are not acceptable.
