Spain Walking Trips
Essential Information
Spring or Fall are the best times of year, as temperatures are typically warm, but still pleasant for a long day in your boots. In the summer temperatures can exceed 100°F (particularly in Andalusia), which can make hiking dangerous.
Our 2026 walking trips will be taking place in March, April, May, and October, so we can avoid both the crowds and the extreme summer heat.
Both Barcelona and Madrid are extremely well connected, with regular direct flights from New York, Boston, Miami, LA, Dallas, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Atlanta.
Once you land in Spain, onward travel to our walking tour destinations is also convenient and flexible, thanks to a reliable network of domestic flights (for example, flights from Barcelona to Mallorca can regularly be found for as little as $20). So whether you want to head straight onto the start point of our hiking tours, or arrive a couple of days earlier to acclimatize and enjoy the sights of Madrid or Barcelona, there will be multiple travel options available to suit your schedule.
