Day One: Arrival Day

Day Two: Sightseeing in Miami

Day Three: Embark Norwegian Sun 16:00
Today, we’ll be transferred from our hotel to the beautiful Norwegian Sun. Once we’ve settled into our staterooms, we can head up on deck to watch the ship sail away from the port of Miami.

Day Four: Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas - Tender Port
Enjoy a full day at Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s idyllic island paradise reserved exclusively for its guests. Stroll along soft white-sand beaches and make the most of the activities on offer—snorkel to discover colourful marine life, kayak in crystal-clear waters, or simply soak up the sunshine. Day Six: Cabo Rojo, Dominican Republic 09:00-1530
Swap the glittering resorts and bustling promenades of other Caribbean ports for the refreshingly untamed landscapes of the Pedernales Province. Set in the southwestern corner of the Dominican Republic, near the Haitian border, Cabo Rojo is a nature lover’s dream. Discover unspoilt beaches, lagoons and mangrove forests along the coast, then head inland to dramatic mountains and hidden caverns. Whether you'd enjoy hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, birdwatching or simply soaking up the sun, finding your own slice of paradise here is wonderfully easy.

Walk around this quaint harbor town and you'll think you've traveled back in time to Old Amsterdam. Admire the colorful Dutch architecture and take advantage of the excellent shopping. Relax on a 17th-century veranda with a drink made with the famous Curaçao liqueur.

As we sail towards Cartagena, why not do some shopping or enjoy a treatment in the spa.

Day Ten: Cartagena, Colombia 06:00-14:00
The old walled city of Cartagena reveals a colorful past shaped by conquistadors and pirates. Walk along las murallas for sweeping views over the harbor, then wander the cobbled streets to browse emeralds, leather goods and local treasures in this enchanting city.

Day Eleven: Panama Canal (Gatun Lake), Panama 05:00-15:00 Colón, Panama 17:00-20:00-
When you book an overland journey during your partial transit of the Panama Canal, you’ll experience this maritime marvel in true jetsetter style, sailing in through its Caribbean entrance. Once we reach Gatun Lake, guests with a pre-booked shore excursion can disembark for an unforgettable adventure, with spectacular scenery and fantastic photo opportunities.
It’s then on to Colón, where excursion guests will rejoin the ship and continue the cruise. Please note: only guests with a booked shore excursion can disembark at Gatun Lake, but everyone is welcome to explore during our port of call in Colón. (Book your place early)

Day Twelve: Puerto Limón, Costa Rica 06:45-13:30
Puerto Limón is known for its vibrant multicultural spirit and lively annual carnival. In recent years, it’s also become a must-visit for eco-travellers, thanks to its lush rainforests and rich wildlife. The region’s unique geography and tropical climate create one of the most naturally diverse biospheres in the world, with national parks and reserves in every direction. Keep your eyes peeled as you dock—guests often spot sloths lounging in the trees right by the port.

Days Thirteen & Fourteen: New Year's Eve & New Year's Day At Sea
Today we begin our journey back towards Miami. With two relaxing days at sea, it’s the perfect time to kick back, unwind and recharge after all the sightseeing. Along the way, we’ll celebrate both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day on board as we sail back to Miami.

Day Fifteen: Miami, Florida
This morning, we arrive back into Miami. After a final breakfast, we will transfer back to Miami International Airport, taking with us lots of fabulous memories from this Christmas and New Year cruise.

Essential Information
We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

General Passport Requirements
Six-Month Validity:
Most sailings require your passport to be valid for at least six months after your cruise ends.
Machine-Readable Passports:
For travel to the US under the Visa Waiver Programme, you must have a machine-readable passport with a digital photograph.
NCL Retaining Passports:
NCL personnel may need to keep your passport during most cruises. You must always carry a second government-issued photo ID as a result.
Specific Itinerary Exceptions
European Sailings: A passport is required for European sailings, with the exception of citizens of Schengen States whose itineraries do not leave EU territory.
South America & Panama Canal Sailings: Valid passports are mandatory for Panama Canal and South American sailings.
Russia (St. Petersburg): A valid tourist visa is required to go ashore independently.

Boarding Denial:
NCL can refuse boarding if you don't present valid ID and the necessary travel documents.
We recommend that you check if vaccinations are required for your destination at the CDC’s recommendations for your visited destination(s). We also recommend you purchase travel protection. A travel protection plan can often assist with medical emergencies and reimburse costs that are covered by the plan. Please verify coverage details with Solos before you travel.

IF A TRIP INCLUDES A HIGH RISK OPTIONAL EXCURSION OR INCLUSION – HOT AIR BALLOON, 4X4 OFF ROAD, SNOW MOBILING, QUAD BIKING, MOTORBIKES – the following sentence needs to be added to the insurance section.
If you are taking part in an excursion which includes hot air ballooning, 4 x 4 off road drives, quad biking, motorcycling or snowmobiling you need to check your travel insurer will offer you adequate cover. You will also need to sign a waiver form.
