The route curves around sea swept headlands, clinging to the edge of cliffs that drop up to 300 meters to the sea, and threads dark river gorges amid ancient hills. Lookouts offer unforgettable vistas of Cape Breton's rugged coastline, creating perfect photo opportunities. Numerous trails of varying difficulty are available for our enjoyment today so be sure to bring your camera! Our route reveals the diversity of the Maritimes landscape, leaving behind the rugged beauty of Cape Breton and arriving in agricultural and pastoral Prince Edward Island, the smallest Province and Birthplace of Canadian Confederation. We make our way to the Provincial Captal of Charlottetown, where a city tour with a local guide shows the effortless mix of storybook-elegant island life with the amenities of a mid-sized modern city.
