Spend a leisurely day in Barcelona exploring its rich cultural and architectural heritage. Visit the Museu Picasso and Joan Miró Foundation to admire modern art, then marvel at Gaudí's iconic Casa Batlló and Casa Milà. Relax at Barceloneta Beach or wander through the bustling La Boqueria Market for a taste of local cuisine. Head to Montjuïc Hill for panoramic views and visit the historic Montjuïc Castle. In the evening we enjoy the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc Show - a spectacular display of water, light, and music located at the foot of Montjuïc Hill. The fountain combines colourful illuminations, music, and choreographed water movements to create a mesmerizing audio-visual experience. Day Four: Day at leisure - optional Montserrat excursion
Today is free for you to spend however you wish, with the opportunity to join an optional excursion to Monserrat. Experience the natural beauty and spiritual significance of Montserrat on this optional day excursion from Barcelona. Montserrat, a stunning mountain range located about an hour's drive from the city, is home to the famous Montserrat Monastery and offers breathtaking views, unique rock formations, and a rich cultural heritage. This excursion to Montserrat offers a perfect blend of cultural, spiritual, and natural experiences, providing a memorable and enriching addition to your Barcelona visit. As this is extremely popular destination the excursion will need to be pre-booked with Solos Holidays office at the time of booking.

Visit the renowned Montserrat Monastery, home to the revered Black Madonna, and immerse yourself in the impressive art collection at the Montserrat Museum. If available, experience the angelic voices of the Escolania Boys' Choir. Take in the serene beauty as you explore scenic hiking trails and enjoy panoramic vistas that will leave you speechless.
Savor a traditional Catalan lunch (meal cost not included) and browse local artisanal products before our comfortable, private bus returns us to Barcelona. You'll return enriched by the spiritual and natural wonders of Montserrat.

Getting Around Barcelona (Included):
Your trip includes a 72-hour Hola Barcelona Travel Card, offering unlimited rides on Barcelona's public transportation from the moment you first use it. This convenient card covers the subway, local buses (TMB), urban railway (FGC, Zone 1), Montjuïc funicular, tram (TRAM), and regional railway (Rodalies de Catalunya, Zone 1). Please note that the Montjuïc Cable Car is not included.

We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.
The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters and hotel staff of approximately $20. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip.
