Learning to play golf can feel intimidating — especially when the weather doesn’t always cooperate or it’s hard to find friends free to practice with. That’s where we come in.

Our Mallorca Golfing Beginners’ Week is a relaxed, fully guided getaway created especially for solo travelers who want to learn (or improve) their game in beautiful surroundings. Imagine warm Mediterranean sunshine, expert golf instruction, and a supportive group of like-minded travelers — all sharing the experience together.

You’ll stay in a stylish four-star, adults-only hotel, enjoy daily tuition from friendly pros, and spend your afternoons perfecting your swing on lush, scenic courses. And because this trip is exclusive to Solos, everything is taken care of — from airport transfers to group dinners and your own private room with no single supplement.

By the end of the week, you’ll not only have improved your skills but likely gained a few new golf buddies too.

Our adults-only hotel is well placed within the resort of Palma Nova, with its beach and promenade on our doorstep, providing a fantastic location to enjoy the hotel and resort. This week-long program is designed specifically for solo golfers, providing a welcoming and sociable environment where you can learn the basics of golf while enjoying the sun and comfort of a beautiful hotel. Our sociable and fun 'Introduction to Golf Week' is perfect for beginners and designed for a group of ten golfers. The program offers a relaxed and engaging way to learn the basics of golf over five days, with a focus on building confidence and skills. Here's what the week includes: 
 
Day 1 - Two hours on the Son Muntaner Golf Course Welcome and introduction to the facilities Overview of the entire program Golf course explanation and introduction to golf equipment and clubs Putt and chip practice
Day 2 - Two hours on the Son Muntaner Golf Course Chip and medium pitch techniques 
Day 3 - Two hours on the Son Muntaner Golf Course Medium and full pitch practice Putt improvement 
Day 4 - Day at Leisure Spend the day enjoying the hotel's facilities or the resort of Palma Nova 
Day 5 - Two hours on the Son Muntaner Golf Course Full swing practice using club number 8 Focus on putting 
Day 6 - Two hours on the Son Quint Golf Course Warm-up with balls, and pitch & putt session Farewell to the course Presentation of a diploma with 'Golf Natural Guidance'
 
The week is designed to be a fun, sociable, and stress-free introduction to the game, with expert instruction to help you develop a solid foundation in golf.

Excellent knowledgeable Tour Leader, small group of like-minded people and a planned activity most days.

Excellent golf instruction

Good size group of 10, Hotel was nice, location and all transport arrangements were good. The Golf instruction structure was excellent at 2 hours per day with a free day, and the golf club and instructors were excellent, friendly and welcoming. The fun social competition arranged on the last day was brilliant, a fun way to end the week.

It was very well organised and Jo was excellent, she could not have done anymore. The mix of people on the holiday was exceptionally good which made the holiday. The golf tuition was excellent.

Zafiro Rey Don Jaime Four Star

Close to the heart of Santa Ponsa, the Zafiro Rey Don Jaime is the perfect location for our active trip. Boasting an adults-only sky pool on the rooftop, it offers spectacular views and breathtaking sunsets.

Facilities include

The hotel has two bars, including a lounge bar and an adults-only bar on the roof terrace. Two restaurants, a buffet and an à la carte restaurant. There are two outdoor pools, including the rooftop adults-only pool, and an indoor pool.

Room includes

Our rooms are double for sole use, they come with a TV, kettle, fridge, bathroom and air conditioning.

Essential Information

Transfer Time:
Approximately 30 minutes subject to traffic conditions.
What to Wear
Golf Shoes with Soft Spikes or flat soled trainers.  Golf attire during the day such as a polo shirts, trousers appropriate for golf , tailored shorts to the knee. ( T shirts, jeans, fashion /training shorts above the knee, sandals, flip fops are not allowed).  We suggest smart casual for the evenings.
Carriage of Clubs
If you wish to bring your clubs we advise you to use a light golf bag when packing your clubs. We suggest you wrap a towel round the neck of the clubs to protect them and stop them rattling around whilst in transit. It is also important to then place the bag and clubs in an outer carrying bag, which can be purchased from any good golf shop. Golf Clubs and balls will be provided during the tuition days
Golf Club Insurance
Clients will most probably find that their golf clubs are covered on their household insurance policy. Most policies cover a single item such as golf clubs for a period out of the country. However, clients should make very sure that they do have cover and purchase the necessary insurance that includes cover for golf clubs and bag.
Passports and Visas
We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

We suggest a Group Collection to cover transfer drivers, and hotel staff of €25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate amount.
Health Requirements

We recommend that you check if vaccinations are required for your destination at the CDC’s recommendations for your visited destination(s). We also recommend you purchase travel protection. A travel protection plan can often assist with medical emergencies and reimburse costs that are covered by the plan. Please verify coverage details with Solos before you travel.
