What you will be doing...

Day One: Welcome to Bordeaux
We arrive at Bordeaux Airport where we transfer to our centrally located hotel. We can take the afternoon to settle in, explore our neighbourhood, or enjoy our first taste of French cuisine at a local café. The city’s stunning architecture and lively streets set the tone for our adventure ahead. This evening, we come together for a welcome dinner.

Day Two: Explore Bordeaux & Garonne River Cruise
After breakfast, we join our guide for a walking tour of Bordeaux’s elegant streets, grand squares, and charming neighbourhoods. We take a stroll to the Place de la Bourse & Miroir d’Eau, the iconic Bordeaux square reflected in the world’s largest reflecting pool.
We discover the city’s rich history and modern vibrancy, enjoying some free time to enjoy lunch at a local café or a riverside bistro.
In the afternoon, we unwind on a boat cruise along the Garonne River, taking in Bordeaux from a different perspective as the city’s landmarks glide past. It’s the perfect way to see the city and relax with our fellow travellers.

Day Three: Wine Tasting & Medieval Villages
After a delicious breakfast, we head out for a visit to La Cité du Vin, an immersive wine museum where you’ll explore the history and culture of wine through interactive exhibits and tastings.
In the afternoon, we venture into the charming medieval village of Saint-Émilion, famous for its cobbled streets, historic churches, and picturesque squares. On our return to Bordeaux, we’ll visit a local château for a guided wine tour and tasting, experiencing some of the region’s renowned wines in an unforgettable setting.

Day Four: Day at Leisure
We spend the day at our leisure in Bordeaux, exploring hidden streets, local markets, or simply relaxing at a café.
Alternatively, join an optional excursion to Arcachon. Explore the quaint village, climb the Dune du Pilat for breathtaking views, and enjoy a scenic boat trip to Cap Ferret, taking in the stunning coastline along the way. Pre-booking required, £195pp (based on a minimum of 10)

Day Five: Departure day
After breakfast, we transfer from our hotel to Bordeaux Airport for your onward journey, leaving with memories of culture, wine, and the charm of southwestern France.
