What you'll be doing

Day One: Arrive in Cambodia
Welcome to incredible Cambodia! Upon arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you will transfer to the hotel. After checking in, there’s some free time to unwind and refresh after the journey.
This evening, we’ll come together for a welcome drink and dinner while enjoying an Apsara Dance show – a beautiful celebration of Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage. Dancers, singers and musicians bring classical and village stories to life, performing to the rhythms of a traditional orchestra.
- Overnight stay in Siem Reap
- Dinner included

Day Two: Explore the temples of Angkor
Today we visit Angkor Thom, the last and most enduring capital of the Khmer Empire. At its heart lies the 12th-century Bayon – the mesmerizing, slightly mind-bending state temple of King Jayavarman VII. This grand masterpiece is famed for its 54 towers topped with enigmatic smiling faces, said to represent the 54 provinces of the Great Khmer Empire.
Our next stop is the Terrace of Elephants, once used by King Jayavarman VII as a viewing platform to greet his victorious returning army. We’ll also see the Terrace of the Leper King, home to a statue believed to depict Yama, the Hindu god of death.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit Ta Prohm Temple, one of Angkor’s most atmospheric sites. Partly reclaimed by the jungle, its twisting roots and ancient stone walls offer a glimpse of how the temples appeared when first rediscovered by European explorers.
We end the day at Wat Thmey – also known as the Monk Temple – which includes an exhibition hall documenting the tragic period of the Khmer Rouge. The displays offer a thoughtful and respectful insight into this chapter of Cambodia’s history.
- Breakfast & lunch included

Day Three: Visit Angkor's atmospheric ruins & Tonlé Sap Lake
After breakfast at our hotel, we’ll drive to Angkor Wat. Built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century, it is the best-preserved temple in the entire complex and has remained an important religious centre since its foundation. Constructed in the classical Khmer style, Angkor Wat has become a powerful national symbol – even appearing on Cambodia’s flag. On the way back to Siem Reap, we will stop at a local craft centre.
In the afternoon, we visit Tonlé Sap Lake and board a traditional sampan (flat-bottomed wooden boat) to travel along the Roulos River to Kompong Phluk, a floating village on the lake. Here, we’ll see stilted houses, flooded forests and gain an insight into the daily life of the local community.
- Breakfast & lunch included

Day Four: Siem Reap to Hoi An
After breakfast, we transfer to Siem Reap Airport for our flight to Danang. Upon arrival, we meet our local guide and continue by private transfer to our hotel in Hoi An. After checking in, the rest of the day is ours to enjoy at leisure.
In the evening, we can wander through Hoi An’s beautifully preserved Ancient Town, where lantern-lit streets, riverside cafés and boutique shops create a magical atmosphere. You may choose to relax with a drink at one of the cozy spots along the Thu Bon River or browse the bustling night market, filled with local handicrafts, tempting street food and the warm glow of colourful lanterns. It’s a lovely chance to unwind and soak up the charm of Hoi An after sunset.
- Breakfast included

Day Five: Hoi An City Tour
Today we explore the charming ancient town of Hoi An, an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port from the 15th to 19th centuries. Many of its buildings showcase historical architectural styles, and the entire town is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its yellow-painted façades, wooden shutters and colorful lanterns, Hoi An’s Old Town is endlessly photogenic. We enjoy a walking tour through the Old Town, visiting the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the Japanese Covered Bridge and several ancient houses. We conclude with a visit to a lantern-making cottage, where we learn how this traditional handicraft is created.
- Breakfast & lunch included

Day Six: Day at leisure
Today can be spent entirely as we wish! We may choose to simply relax at the hotel and make the most of its facilities, from the pools and bars to the wellness and spa area.
- Breakfast included

Day Seven: My Son Temples Cham culture, architecture & civilization
After breakfast at the hotel, we take a half-day trip to visit My Son, the former capital and religious centre of the Champa Kingdom, located about an hour’s drive southwest of Hoi An. Set within a lush green valley, the site features dozens of red-brick towers and sanctuaries dating from the 7th to 13th centuries. We stroll through the temple complex – rediscovered in the late 19th century – to learn about the fascinating Cham culture, architecture and civilisation. Look out for the strong connections to Hindu divinities, particularly Shiva, regarded as the founder and protector of the Champa dynasties. We then return to Hoi An. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.
- Breakfast & lunch included

Day Eight: Hue - Imperial Citadel & Royal Tombs
After breakfast, we visit the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the heart of the Complex of Hue Monuments. Entering through the imposing main gate, we explore its impressive architecture, landscaped gardens and historic halls as our guide shares stories of the former royal court. Although parts of the Citadel were damaged during the Vietnam War, many structures remain intact and others are being carefully restored. We end the morning with a leisurely walk through Dong Ba Market, where stalls overflow with everything from fabrics and jewellery to souvenirs, fresh flowers and tempting local street food.
In the afternoon, we continue to Emperor Tu Duc’s Mausoleum, beautifully designed in harmony with ancient principles of geomancy.
Please note: Hoa Khiem Palace, the Brick Walls and Vu Khiem Gate inside Tu Duc’s Mausoleum are currently closed for renovation until further notice. All other areas remain open. If preferred, we can flexibly switch on the spot to an alternative visit such as Minh Mang Tomb or Khai Dinh Tomb.
- Breakfast included

Day Nine: Hue - Hanoi
After breakfast, we take a boat trip along the Huong River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, an iconic seven-story landmark set on the riverbank and considered the unofficial symbol of the city. We then enjoy some free time before transferring to the airport for our flight to Hanoi. (Please note: the internal flight baggage allowance is 44 lbs) Upon arrival, we are welcomed and transferred to our hotel for check-in.
- Breakfast included

Day Ten: Journey through Ninh Binh's rural landscapes
After breakfast at our hotel, we leave Hanoi for a two-hour drive to Ninh Binh, the ancient royal capital of Vietnam. We visit the temples dedicated to the Dinh and Le dynasty kings before continuing to Tam Coc, where we take a bicycle ride along picturesque countryside lanes, passing vibrant green paddy fields, en route to a local restaurant for lunch. The ride covers 6-7.5 miles and takes around 1.5–2 hours with frequent photo stops. Please note: the bicycle ride is optional.
In the afternoon, we board a small sampan for a spectacular two-hour journey through caves, waterways and the beautiful rural landscape of limestone cliffs and rice paddies. We return to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
- Breakfast & lunch included

Day Eleven: Cruise the otherworldly beauty of Halong Bay
This morning, we depart for the stunning Halong Bay (a 3½-hour drive), located in the Gulf of Tonkin. Undoubtedly one of Vietnam’s most iconic destinations, the bay is home to more than 1,600 islands and islets, most of them uninhabited. Upon arrival in Halong City, we check in and board our luxury junk boat, with lunch served on board as we cruise toward the bay. Throughout the afternoon, we can enjoy a selection of visits and activities, or simply relax on deck. (There is also the possibility to swim in the bay, weather permitting.) Dinner is served on the boat.
Please note: Visits and activities may vary slightly depending on your junk boat’s itinerary. A local guide will accompany you on board during the cruise.
- Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

Day Twelve: Tai Chi & Village Life
We begin our day with a relaxing morning Tai Chi class led by a specialist on deck. After breakfast, we transfer to a day boat to visit a nearby village and enjoy some time exploring. In the afternoon, we return to the main boat and enjoy some free time on board to unwind and indulge in delicious cuisine.
- Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

Day Thirteen: Journey to Hanoi
After enjoying breakfast on board, we take in the fresh morning air as the cruise continues past striking limestone karsts, many of which form wonderfully photogenic shapes. We disembark around noon and transfer back to Hanoi. On arrival, we embark on a leisurely rickshaw ride around Hoan Kiem Lake, followed by a visit to the famous Train Street on Kham Thien Street — a unique and vibrant area where daily life and passing trains exist side by side. Here, we’ll pause to enjoy a cup of authentic Vietnamese coffee while soaking up the extraordinary atmosphere.
- Brunch included

Day Fourteen: Depart Hanoi
Today we continue our tour of incredible Hanoi! We begin with a visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, originally established for the education of mandarins. We then move on to the Museum of History before strolling through the bustling Dong Xuan Market, the Old Quarter’s largest wholesale market, where you can discover exotic plants, fresh fruits, vegetables and beautifully fragrant flowers.
Afterwards, we enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (outside visit), his personal residence, the One Pillar Pagoda and Tran Quoc Pagoda.
