Spacious rooms are arranged around a shimmering swimming pool and a stylish wooden sun deck—an ideal setting for soaking up the sun, sipping cocktails, and socialising with like-minded travellers. Whether you’re relaxing by the pool with new friends or wandering the charming streets of Hanioti in search of local souvenirs, everything you need is right on your doorstep. As the day winds down, the hotel’s pool bar—open late into the evening—offers the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink or a relaxed nightcap under the stars.

The resort of Hanioti

The resort of Hanioti

Halkidiki boasts more Blue Flag beaches than anywhere else in Greece, and the Kassandra Peninsula is home to many of the finest. Here, you'll find sweeping stretches of white sand and shingle—some lively and lined with beach bars and water sports facilities, others quiet and secluded, perfect for peaceful moments by the sea. On the eastern shore of the peninsula lies the resort of Hanioti, where the beach extends for over five kilometres along the sparkling turquoise coastline. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire, and a variety of nearby cafés and eateries make it easy to spend the whole day enjoying this idyllic seaside setting.

Hanioti’s streets are lined with traditional Greek tavernas serving up delicious local fare, but you'll also find a variety of international cuisines if you're in the mood for something different. At the heart of the village lies a charming square, complete with pretty gardens, fountains, and shaded benches—perfect for a spot of people-watching. The village is also great for shopping, with boutiques and stalls offering everything from handmade jewellery and local delicacies like olive oil and honey, to beach essentials and stylish fashion. With its blend of natural beauty, inviting streets, and warm, welcoming atmosphere, Hanioti is a traditional Greek resort that provides all the modern comforts while encouraging a relaxed, unhurried pace of discovery.

Exploring Halkidiki

Exploring Halkidiki

While sun, sea, and beaches may be the main attractions, Halkidiki offers a strikingly different landscape compared to the Greek Islands. Much of the Kassandra Peninsula is lush and green, known for its flourishing olive groves and vineyards that produce some of Greece’s finest olive oil and wine. The region is also home to natural thermal springs, which can be enjoyed with a day pass at Agia Paraskevi—just a short drive from Hanioti. There’s no shortage of excursions for those looking to explore. Popular options include boat cruises to Mount Athos and the island of Ammouliani, jeep safaris through the peninsula’s rugged interior, and cultural day trips to the vibrant city of Thessaloniki or historic sites tied to Alexander the Great and Byzantine heritage. A firm favourite among visitors is a cruise on the Toroneos Gulf, where the calm, crystal-clear waters and hidden coves between the Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas create the perfect setting for a relaxing day at sea.

Passports and Visas
We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

Not sure what travel documents you need? Our trusted partner, sherpa°, makes it easy to check visa and entry requirements based on your destination and passport. One quick check now means smooth sailing later. Click here to learn more.

Health requirements
We recommend that you check if vaccinations are required for your destination at the CDC’s recommendations for your visited destination(s). We also recommend you purchase travel protection. A travel protection plan can often assist with medical emergencies and reimburse costs that are covered by the plan. Please verify coverage details with Solos before you travel.

Tourist Tax
  • Climate Crisis Resilience Tax  – €2.00 per night, payable locally
Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €25.00 per week.

Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % add on.
Dress Code
Casual, cotton, lightweight daytime wear is the order of the day. Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes are ideal for the evening. Early and late season evenings can be cool so do ensure that you take a cardigan or jacket and even some rainwear – particularly in May and June when you may experience some spring thunderstorms followed by scorching days!
