Modern meets traditional is the theme of our picturesque hotel in the lovely resort of Playa Blanca. The Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Hotel offers its guests an all suite hotel for that added touch of comfort. As we are on an all-inclusive basis, we can take advantage of a range of local wines, beers, spirits and even the odd cocktail to quench our thirst throughout the day. When we are feeling peckish, the buffet restaurant serves guests breakfast, lunch and dinner. For those that prefer to have light snacks during the day, the Brasserie at the pool is the place to go. We will be based in the Elba Premium Suites Adults Only area of the hotel which includes its own exclusive pool and area with hammocks and Balinese beds.

Our days can be spent relaxing around the pool or for those that prefer the beach, the closest beach is a 20 minute walk away. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to Dorada Beach which we can take advantage of. Here we can rent a sun-lounger and take in the views for the rest of the day. There are a number of bars and restaurants nearby to stretch our legs, get a coffee or enjoy some delicious local cuisine. Guests in the Elba Premium Suites area receive upgraded room benefits for that extra special stay including bathrobe and slippers, “Elba Collection” bathroom amenities, pillow menu, Nespresso coffee machine with welcome kit, courtesy tea and coffee. About the resort - Playa Blanca - ‘The White Beach’

We are based in the chic, relaxed resort of Playa Blanca, located on the southwest tip of the island, with the beautiful backdrop of the island’s dramatic volcanic landscapes. Playa Blanca boasts a trio of sandy beaches, all with different ‘personalities’ so you are sure to find one to suit. Playa Blanca, a Blue Flag beach, is lined with a promenade full of cocktail bars, upscale restaurants, and cafes as well as a large variety of shops selling all the amenities needed for that all important day in the sun. Playa Flamingo, a few minutes’ walk down the coast is a lot quieter, and Playa Dorada, another Blue Flag beach, is the place to head for water sports.

Away from the beach, Lanzarote has so much to offer. Timanfaya National Park, also known as Fire Mountain is a must-see. This 8km square National Park is where 32 volcanoes erupted all at once in 1732. Alternatively we can take a trip into the Canaries biggest outdoor market – Teguise’s weekly market. With over 360 stands set around cobbled streets, selling everything from local produce to artisan crafts, we will be spoilt for choice.

Another must-see is Mirador del Rio, offering Lanzarote’s best viewpoint, set hundreds of feet above sea level, it is where cannons were once kept to keep a watch over the Atlantic.

Essential Information

Transfer Time
The transfer from Arrecife airport to the hotel is approximately 30 minutes.
Passports and visas
We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

Not sure what travel documents you need? Our trusted partner, sherpa°, makes it easy to check visa and entry requirements based on your destination and passport. One quick check now means smooth sailing later. Click here to learn more.
Health requirements
We recommend that you check if vaccinations are required for your destination at the CDC’s recommendations for your visited destination(s). We also recommend you purchase travel protection. A travel protection plan can often assist with medical emergencies and reimburse costs that are covered by the plan. Please verify coverage details with Solos before you travel.
Gratuities
Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €25.00.

Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.
Dress Code
Medium weights for Winter. Casual “layers” for the autumn and spring months and a warm jacket is recommended for the cool mornings and evenings. Comfortable shoes are a “must” for sightseeing. The hotel prefers reasonably smart dress for dinner – gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers and a formal shirt.
