If you fancy a change of scenery, several small beaches are easily accessed by bus or taxi from our hotel. Solos guests have use of the sister hotels’ pebble beaches in Orahovac (approx 10 mins drive), Bocasa (approx 20 minutes drive) and the beach at Amfora (approx 6 mins drive). 

 
We offer excellent excursions to help you see more of Montenegro should you want to enhance your stay in Montenegro: 

Boka Bay Boat Trip: Explore Our Lady of the Rocks, swim in the Blue Cave's crystal waters, see a submarine tunnel, and pass Mamula Island's old fortress.

Skadar Lake & Budva Old Town: Discover Europe's largest bird reserve on a boat trip from Virpazar through Skadar Lake, followed by a visit to the charming Budva Old Town.

Lovcen National Park: Enjoy panoramic views of Kotor and Boka Bay en route to Lovcen National Park. Visit the Mausoleum of Njegos for breathtaking vistas, explore the Royal Capital of Cetinje, and take a guided tour of Lipa Cave.

Stunning Montenegro

The beautiful mountain scenery is amazing. Solos Exclusive boutique hotel was in a stunning location, and very modern, with good clean facilities, and tile and marble decor. Housekeeping staff were superbly efficient. Hotel waiting staff were pleasant, but young and inexperienced. Could have been more attentive, with better training. Available excursions were either exhilarating or fascinating.

I had a great time in Montenegro on my first Solos holiday. Communication with the group leader Debs was excellent and she was always on hand to assist with any queries. Loved my room

I loved my room on the second floor with a large balcony & seaview. (Think it was a deluxe one I booked ) I enjoyed catching a bus into Koto & wandering down to the seafront at Dobrota. Jo was an excellent T/L & organised a morning trip to the cable-car & optional alpine coaster ride at the top - that was great fun. Jo made everyone feel special & took her role extremely seriously. Made my holiday!

Offering panoramic views and first-class facilities, our exclusive boutique hotel is the perfect choice for a sociable and relaxing holiday in Montenegro.

Facilities include

Relax with new friends on the furnished sun terrace, pamper yourself at the spa, hamman and sauna and take advantage of the stylish outdoor/indoor infinity pool. There is Wi-Fi throughout. This property is located on a steep hill and therefore may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Essential Information

Transfer Time
The transfer from Tivat airport to the hotel is approximately 35 minutes to 1.5 hrs dependant on traffic and border control.
Time Difference
Montenegro is 6 hours ahead of EST.
Connectivity
Mobile roaming can be costly in Montenegro. You may want to consider turning off data roaming to avoid high phone charges or purchase an e-SIM card. WiFi is provided at the hotel so calls and messages can be made using a WIFI connection.
Hotel Advisory
This property is located on a hill and therefore may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Please Note - The hotel bar is not open past 11pm
Passports and visas

We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

Health requirements

Optional Excursion Info
You may wish to take an optional excursion during the course of your stay. Full details will be given at the Information Meeting. Please note:- Optional excursions are not guaranteed and are based on minimum numbers. The prices quoted are guideline only and may involve other holidaymakers. All tours should be paid for in Euros and are payable by  card. The exact amount will be given at your Information Meeting. 
 
Your Tour Leader will help arrange these for you but may not necessarily accompany you. 
 
Boka Bay Boat Trip - From €70.00 
This trip begins with a short ride towards Our Lady of the Rocks, then sails on to the Blue cave, where you can dive and swim in the blue light and crystal clear water. This is followed by a visit into an old submarine tunnel and past the old fortress on Mamula Island. 
 
Skadar Lake & Budya Old Town - From €120.00 
Experience the breathtaking landscape of Lake Skadar where you will find Europe's largest bird reserve. We arrive in the idyllic town of Virpazar where we board our boat that leads througha narrow channel out to the lake . On our return, we spend a short stop visiting Budya old town 
 
Lovcen National Park - from €130.00 
A visit to Lovcen National Park is a must duringyour time in Montenegro. We will take a panoramic road up to the park with sweeping views over Kotor and Boka Bay. On the way we visit the Mausoleum of Njegos located at 1657m above sea level and where you have the opportunity to climb 461 stairs to see a magical view. Our next stop is the Royal Capital of Cetinje, where you will have some free time to wander the ancient streets. 
 
We then head onwards to Lipa Cave where we will have a 1 hour guided tour which allows for us to see views of Dobrsko Village, Skadar Lake and the Lovcen Mountain range.
Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €25.00 per guest. 
 
Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.
Dress Code
Casual, cotton, lightweight daytime wear is the order of the day. Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the evening. Early and late season evenings can be cool so do ensure that you take a cardigan or jacket and even some rainwear to cover all eventualities
