What you'll be doing

Day One: Arrive in Stockholm
Today we arrive in Stockholm Arlanda airport and transfer to our hotel. We spend the afternoon at leisure exploring the medieval city center before gathering for our welcome dinner.
- Dinner included

Day Two: Coach Tour & Free Time in Stockholm
After breakfast, our local guide will take us on a coach tour of the capital’s most iconic sights. Highlights include the museum island of Djurgården, home to the world-famous Vasa Museum; the breathtaking panoramic views from Fjällgatan; the historic Crown Church; and the charming old town of Gamla Stan, with its cobbled streets and beautifully restored buildings. City Hall, with its magnificent Golden Hall—venue of the Nobel Prize banquet—is spectacularly located on the waterfront. From here, we can enjoy stunning views across the city, including the old town and the islands of Riddarholmen and Gamla Stan. The afternoon is ours to enjoy at leisure.
- Breakfast included

Day Three: Drottningholm Palace
In the morning, we can enjoy some free time to explore the city at our own pace. Alternatively, you may choose to join an optional excursion such as a scenic boat tour through Stockholm’s stunning archipelago (additional cost). In the afternoon, our local guide will meet us for an excursion to the magnificent Drottningholm Palace. From City Hall, we will board a historic vessel for a relaxing one-hour cruise across Lake Mälaren. Along the way, we’ll pass a fascinating mix of old and modern architecture, as well as picturesque waterfronts and city beaches, before arriving on the island of Lovön.
Drottningholm Palace, the residence of the Swedish royal family, is beautifully set between the lake and expansive Renaissance-style gardens. Often described as the “Versailles of the North”, it is Sweden’s best-preserved royal palace and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The grounds are just as impressive as the palace itself—stroll along tree-lined avenues, admire ornate fountains and statues, or wander into the quieter English-style park with its natural feel and sweeping views. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel.
- Breakfast & dinner included

Day Four: Departure day
We have our final breakfast as a group this morning before heading back to Stockholm Arlanda airport for our flight home.

430 SEK per person
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.
Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters, and hotel staff of approximately 250SEK per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it, accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip.
We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.
Not sure what travel documents you need? Our trusted partner, sherpa°, makes it easy to check visa and entry requirements based on your destination and passport. One quick check now means smooth sailing later. Click here to learn more.
We recommend that you check if vaccinations are required for your destination at the CDC’s recommendations for your visited destination(s). We also recommend you purchase travel protection. A travel protection plan can often assist with medical emergencies and reimburse costs that are covered by the plan. Please verify coverage details with Solos before you travel.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance before any trip — it safeguards you against unexpected issues like illness, cancellations, or lost luggage. It also protects your health and travel investment, giving you peace of mind to fully enjoy your journey. Click here to learn more.
