Day One: Arrival Day

Day Two: Ancient Athens
Today is spent discovering the timeless charm and rich history of Greece’s capital. We begin with a visit to the iconic Acropolis, the ancient citadel that dominates the Athenian skyline. With our expert guide, we’ll explore its magnificent monuments, gaining insight into the Golden Age of Athens.
Next, we’ll visit the Acropolis Museum, a striking example of modern architecture that showcases an extraordinary collection of artifacts unearthed from the nearby archaeological site. As we explore, you’ll discover captivating stories of ancient Athens through statues, friezes, and everyday objects—each piece bringing the classical world vividly to life.

Day Three: Athens - Mykonos
After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to Athens and make our way to the port of Piraeus to board a ferry bound for the dazzling island of Mykonos. As we sail across the sparkling waters of the Aegean Sea, we’ll take in scenic views of the Cycladic islands along the way. Once we arrive in Mykonos, we’ll transfer to our hotel and get settled. The remainder of the day is ours to start exploring—wandering the island’s charming whitewashed streets, soaking up the lively atmosphere, and discovering its beautiful beaches at our own pace, or joining an optional guided island tour (payable locally).

Day Four: UNESCO-listed Delos Island
Today, we set out on a half‑day tour to the sacred island of Delos, one of Greece’s most captivating archaeological sites. Just a short boat ride from Mykonos, Delos is steeped in myth and history as the legendary birthplace of Apollo and Artemis. With our knowledgeable guide leading the way, we’ll explore the remarkably well‑preserved ruins of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, including ancient temples, mosaic‑adorned houses, the Terrace of the Lions, and the Sanctuary of Apollo.

Day Five: Mykonos - Naxos
This morning, we depart Mykonos and enjoy a scenic ferry ride to the enchanting island of Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer to our hotel and take some time to settle in and soak up the island’s laid‑back charm. In the late afternoon, we’ll head out on a sunset walking tour of Naxos Town (Chora). As the golden light begins to fade, we’ll wander through the atmospheric alleys of the old town and the Venetian castle district, uncovering hidden gems, browsing local shops, and admiring traditional architecture along the way. The tour concludes at the iconic Portara—an ancient marble gateway overlooking the sea—an unforgettable spot to witness a breathtaking Cycladic sunset.

Day Six: Free time in Naxos
Today is ours to enjoy at leisure on the beautiful island of Naxos. We can choose to unwind on one of its stunning beaches, famous for crystal‑clear waters and golden sands, or savor Naxos’s renowned cheeses and citrus liqueur at a local taverna. Alternatively, we might opt for an island tour (payable locally) to discover Naxos’s charming villages, ancient ruins, and scenic landscapes—offering a deeper glimpse into the island’s rich history and culture.

Day Seven: Naxos - Paros
This morning, we bid farewell to Naxos and set sail on a short, scenic ferry journey to the charming island of Paros. Arriving in the lively port town of Parikia, we'll transfer to our accommodation and have some time to unwind. In the evening, we’ll gather for a pottery class, guided by a local artisan in their charming Paros studio. You’ll have the chance to shape clay at the wheel or by hand, learn traditional techniques rooted in Cycladic craftsmanship, and create your own unique piece to take home.

Day Eight: Free time in Paros
After breakfast, the day is ours to enjoy however we wish— whether that means soaking up the sun on Paros’s beautiful beaches, wandering through its quaint villages, or savoring local delicacies at a seaside taverna. We also have the option to join a guided tour of Paros (payable locally), exploring both the island’s highlights and its hidden gems. We’ll visit the impressive Church of Panagia Ekatontapyliani, the “Church of a Hundred Doors,” one of the oldest and most significant Byzantine churches. We’ll continue on to the scenic mountain village of Lefkes, celebrated for its traditional architecture and sweeping views, and the charming fishing village of Naoussa, with its picturesque harbor, whitewashed alleys, and vibrant local atmosphere.

Day Nine: Paros - Nafplio
This morning, we bid farewell to Paros and take a ferry back to the mainland. After arriving in Piraeus, we’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch before continuing our journey westward. As we travel through Corinth and the scenic Peloponnese countryside, we make our way to Nafplio, where ancient history awaits. This evening, we’ll immerse ourselves in the spirit of Greece with a traditional Greek dance class! We’ll learn the basic steps and rhythms of popular folk dances, such as the Sirtaki and Kalamatianos—feeling the music come alive as we master the steps, share laughter with new friends, and experience the heart and soul of Greek culture firsthand.

Day Ten: Mycenae & Epidaurus
Today offers a captivating journey through Greece’s rich archaeological heritage and timeless cultural achievements with visits to two remarkable sites. We begin at the ruins of Mycenae, the legendary city of King Agamemnon, where we’ll walk among imposing fortifications, pass through the iconic Lion’s Gate, and explore the royal tombs—gaining a deeper understanding of the powerful Mycenaean civilization.

Day Eleven: Departure Day
After a final breakfast together, we transfer to Athens International Airport for our onwards journey.

Essential Information

We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

- Mykonos Island Tour: We begin with a scenic bus tour showcasing Mykonos’ landscapes and renowned beaches. Along the way, we pass traditional fishing boats (kaikis), private chapels, and Cycladic-style homes—offering a glimpse of authentic island life. Our first stop is Ano Mera, the island’s second-largest village, just 6 km from town. Here, we can explore the peaceful central square or visit the 16th-century Panagia Tourliani Monastery. Next, we head to Kalafatis Beach for a short break, with time to enjoy a coffee or refreshment (not included). On the return journey, we pass the beaches of Ornos and Agios Ioannis and stop at a panoramic viewpoint for sweeping views of Mykonos and nearby islands. The tour continues with a guided walk through the narrow alleys of Mykonos Town, perfect for capturing photos in the quieter hours. As we explore the harbor, historic churches, and charming corners, we visit highlights like Little Venice, the iconic windmills, and may even spot Petros the Pelican, the island’s beloved mascot. Currently €45 per person.
- Naxos Island Tour: TBC
- Paros Island Tour: We start with a walking tour through the old town, visiting the castle and the scenic church of Saints Constantine and Helen. We then continue to the iconic Panagia Ekatontapyliani, one of Greece’s oldest and most important churches, dating back to 400 AD. Next, we head to the port of Pounta and take a ferry to Antiparos. There, we explore the charming town of Chora and visit the remains of a 15th-century Venetian fortress. You’ll have free time to enjoy lunch or take a swim before returning by ferry to Paros. The tour continues with a visit to Lefkes, the former capital of Paros. Nestled at 250 meters above sea level and surrounded by pine forests, olive groves, and vineyards, Lefkes offers stunning natural beauty and traditional charm. Our final stop is Naoussa, a picturesque fishing village known for its Cycladic architecture and colorful port. After a short stroll through its narrow streets, the tour concludes around 17:00 with a return transfer to your accommodation. Currently €50 per person.
