Westerwood Golf Course

Discover one of Scotland’s best-kept golfing secrets at Westerwood Golf Course, set within the stunning grounds of the Westerwood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in Cumbernauld, just outside Glasgow. Designed by legendary golfer Seve Ballesteros in collaboration with renowned architect Dave Thomas, this superb 18-hole, par-71 moorland/parkland course delivers a memorable blend of challenge, strategy, and natural beauty.

Throughout your round, you’ll be treated to spectacular panoramic views of the Kilsyth and Campsie Hills, enhancing the sense of escape and tranquillity. The standout moment arrives at the iconic 15th hole, “The Waterfall.” This dramatic par-3 plays from an elevated tee to a green framed by a striking 60-foot rock face and cascading water features, demanding precision, confidence, and a steady nerve—an unforgettable highlight of a truly exceptional course.
