What you'll be doing

Day One: Arrival into Athens
- Dinner included

Day Two: Escorted Athens tour
Afterwards, the remainder of the day is free to explore Athens independently, perhaps wandering through the charming Plaka district or relaxing in one of the city's many cafés.

Day Three: Corinth Canal, Epidaurus & Nafplio
Leaving Athens behind, we travel along the scenic coastal road towards the Peloponnese. Our first stop is the impressive Corinth Canal, a remarkable engineering feat that cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth. We continue to Epidaurus, one of the most important healing centres of the ancient world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here we'll discover the famous theatre, renowned for its acoustics, as well as the sanctuary dedicated to Asklepios, the god of medicine.
Later, we arrive in the scenic seaside town of Nafplio, our home for the next two nights.
- Breakfast included

Day Four: Mycenae & Nemea Wine Tasting
Today we delve deeper into Greece's ancient past with a visit to Mycenae, once one of the most powerful cities in the Greek world. Walking through the imposing Lion Gate, we'll explore the archaeological remains of this legendary kingdom and learn about the myths surrounding King Agamemnon and the Trojan War.
- Breakfast included

Day Five: Into the Mountains of Arcadia
Today we venture into the mountainous heart of the Peloponnese. Travelling through dramatic landscapes, we arrive in the traditional village of Dimitsana, where time seems to move at a slower pace. Browse local shops selling regional produce and admire the stone-built houses that characterise this fascinating mountain settlement.
- Breakfast included

Day Six: Olympia
This morning we continue through the beautiful landscapes of Arcadia towards Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games. First held here in 776 BC, the Olympic Games became one of the most important events in the ancient Greek world. After arriving, we'll have time to explore the surrounding area and soak up the atmosphere of this historic destination before our overnight stay.
- Breakfast included

Day Seven: Ancient Olympia & Delphi
Before departing Olympia, we visit the archaeological site itself, where we'll discover the ancient stadium and the sacred precincts dedicated to Zeus and Hera. Standing where athletes once competed for glory over two thousand years ago is a truly memorable experience.
- breakfast included

Day Eight: Delphi - home of the Oracle
Today is dedicated to exploring the magnificent site of Delphi. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi was once regarded as the centre of the world by the ancient Greeks and attracted pilgrims seeking guidance from the famous Oracle of Apollo. Our guided visit takes us along the Sacred Way to the Temple of Apollo, passing monuments, treasuries and ancient ruins that reveal Delphi's immense importance in antiquity.
- Breakfast included

Day Nine: Return to Athens
Following breakfast, we return to Athens. On arrival, we'll have free time to enjoy the city at leisure. Perhaps browse the shops for souvenirs, explore the lively Psirri district or simply relax in a café while soaking up the atmosphere of the Greek capital. This evening, we'll gather one final time to celebrate our journey with a farewell dinner.
