Day Three: Upper East Side & Central Park
Today, we explore the elegant Upper East Side, one of Manhattan’s most iconic neighbourhoods and a fascinating window into New York’s Gilded Age. Take a leisurely and luxurious tour through this storied district, known for its grand apartment buildings, elegant brownstones, stylish boutiques and world-renowned museums. Window-shop the former mansions and grand residences that are now home to designer ateliers, and discover how Manhattan’s elite embrace Halloween, from tasteful autumnal displays to wonderfully over-the-top decorations adorning their homes.
We’ll continue with a little gallery hopping and time to sip a designer cup of coffee, soaking up the sophisticated atmosphere of one of New York’s most fashionable neighbourhoods. We then head to Central Park for a two-hour guided bike tour*. Cycling through the park offers a wonderful way to experience its peaceful paths and picturesque landscapes, with stops at some of its most famous landmarks, including Strawberry Fields, the tranquil Shakespeare Garden and the beautiful Cherry Hill Fountain. With the first hints of autumn colour beginning to appear across the park, it’s a memorable way to experience one of New York’s most beloved green spaces.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to continue exploring the city at your own pace.

We continue into the vibrant Meatpacking District before enjoying free time at Chelsea Market, where food stalls, independent shops and lively cafés offer plenty of tempting choices for lunch or a little browsing.
