Day One: Arrival into Berlin

Day Two: Berlin TV Tower & Guided City Walk
After breakfast, we begin our Berlin adventure with a visit to the famous Berlin TV Tower. From the observation deck, we'll enjoy spectacular panoramic views across the German capital, providing the perfect introduction to the city.
Later, we join our local guide for a walking tour through Berlin's historic centre. Starting at Alexanderplatz, we'll discover some of the city's most important landmarks, including Museum Island, Berlin Cathedral, Unter den Linden, Gendarmenmarkt and the iconic Brandenburg Gate. Along the way, we'll uncover the stories that have shaped Berlin through the centuries.
As we explore the city on foot, we'll gain a deeper appreciation of Berlin's remarkable transformation from Prussian capital to modern European metropolis. The fascinating blend of historic monuments and contemporary architecture makes this an unforgettable introduction to the city.

Day Three: Potsdam & Sanssouci Palace
Today, we travel to nearby Potsdam, a city renowned for its elegant palaces, beautiful gardens and rich royal heritage. Our visit includes the magnificent Sanssouci Palace, the former summer residence of Frederick the Great, where we'll explore the lavish interiors and beautifully landscaped grounds.
We continue through Potsdam's charming streets, including the distinctive Dutch Quarter, while learning about the city's significant role in European history. Surrounded by lakes, parkland and impressive architecture, Potsdam offers a wonderful contrast to the energy of Berlin.
Throughout the day, we'll discover a city where culture, history and natural beauty combine effortlessly, creating one of the most rewarding excursions in the region.

Day Four: Berlin at Leisure & Evening River Cruise
Today offers free time to explore Berlin at our own pace. Whether choosing to visit one of the city's many museums, enjoy some shopping, relax in a traditional café or simply wander through its diverse neighbourhoods, there are countless ways to experience Berlin's unique character.
For those wishing to delve deeper into the city's history and culture, Berlin offers an impressive range of attractions, from world-class galleries to historic sites and vibrant local markets.
This evening, we come together for a relaxing cruise along the River Spree (2hrs). As the city lights begin to sparkle, we'll enjoy a different perspective of Berlin's famous landmarks, passing Museum Island, Berlin Cathedral and the Government District. It's a memorable way to conclude our exploration of this fascinating city.

Day Five: Departure day
After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to Berlin. We transfer to the airport for our return flight home, taking with you wonderful memories of Germany's dynamic capital.

As part of health & safety we do require all our guests to be able to manage the demands of the trip. This will often include early starts with long days travelling by foot and on and off minibuses/coaches. You also must be mindful that when visiting a country with different cuisine and culture, special dietary requests cannot always be made as readily available with great choice. Please see the day by day itinerary for details of the programme. The order of the itinerary and events may be subject to change according to traffic, weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances beyond control.
WhatsApp Group: Shortly before your holiday, you will be invited to join an optional WhatsApp group to connect with your fellow travellers and your Tour Leader. If you choose to join the WhatsApp group, you’re consenting to your phone number being visible to other travellers. Photos or messages may be shared within the group. Solos may use group content for marketing purposes. You can opt out at any time by emailing: [email protected].
If you would prefer not to join the WhatsApp group, you can simply meet the group on your first day instead. Please note, if you have not received an email within 24 hours of departure, we recommend you check your email junk folder. Upon the conclusion of your holiday, please be informed that we will close your specific holiday WhatsApp group. Therefore, we recommend making personal arrangements with those you wish to stay in touch with before the holiday concludes.
Photo Permissions: At the beginning of your trip, your Tour Leader will ask if you would be happy to sign a photo permission form. This means that any photographs taken during your holiday can be used by Solos to share what the Solos experience is all about. It also means you have lots of memories to go home with! Details will be given at your welcome meeting

From the 12th October 2025 the EU is introducing a new European Entry System (EES) that will be phased in and fully operational by the 10th April 2026. Non-EU nationals including British passport holders will now be required to complete biometric checks on arrival and exit to Schengen countries, which will include facial recognition and fingerprints. There is no cost for this, and no action needs to be taken prior to departure.
