Day Two: Bristol

Our guide will meet us at our hotel this morning for a walking tour of Bristol’s historic highlights. We’ll explore sites like the Bridge across the Avon, marking the city's Saxon origins, and Castle Park, once home to a grand medieval castle. The tour will take us through St. Nicholas Market, showcasing Bristol’s 18th-century architecture from its trading past in tea, sugar, and tobacco. We’ll also visit the harbour and central Bristol, stopping for refreshments, with views of iconic landmarks like Bristol Cathedral, the Wills Memorial Building, and some of the city’s famous street art, including a Banksy. This afternoon, we have time at leisure to explore more or relax and enjoy the hotel before dinner with the group.

Day Three: Walking Tour of Bath

After breakfast, we transfer and meet our guide today in central Bath. Our walking tour begins at the Royal Crescent, a symbol of 18th-century elegance, and continues through Bath’s stunning Georgian architecture, including the Circus and Queen's Square. We’ll see the Assembly Rooms (external view only) before heading to Pulteney Bridge, one of the few bridges in the world with shops on both sides. The tour concludes with a visit to the Abbey area, with external views of the Abbey, Roman Baths, and Thermae Spa. We’ll then enjoy a traditional cream tea at the historic Sally Lunn’s, featuring two scones served with jam and cream, accompanied by a cup of tea or coffee.

Essential Information

Dress Code
The dress code for during the day is casual and layers are recommended. In the evenings the dress code is smart casual. Comfortable shoes for walking and sightseeing are recommended.
Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters and hotel staff of approximately £15. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip.
WhatsApp Group
Shortly before your holiday, you will be invited to join an optional WhatsApp group to connect with your fellow travellers and your Tour Leader.
Booking Information
It is important to consider whether this holiday is suitable for your level of fitness, mobility, and any medical conditions. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments wherever possible. Please tell us about any disability, medical condition, or additional requirements before booking so we can assess whether we can safely and appropriately accommodate your needs. If you are unsure whether this holiday is suitable for you, please contact us before booking. We will be happy to discuss the holiday requirements and your individual circumstances.
