Welcome to Canada! Upon arrival at Toronto Airport, we'll proceed through immigration, collect our luggage and meet our local guide. We then transfer to our hotel. After check-in, we have some free time to rest after our flight. In the evening we will enjoy a welcome drink and dinner at the hotel restaurant to get to know our group of solo travellers.

Day Two : Toronto

Today we explore Toronto on a guided tour featuring such highlights as the financial district, Old and New City Halls, the entertainment district, the St. Lawrence Market, home to over 120 specialty vendors, known for the variety and freshness of their fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, grains, baked goods and dairy products, as well as for the uniqueness of the non-food items for sale. From there we continue to the Flat Iron Building, Queen’s Park with the Ontario Legislative Buildings, the University of Toronto, Chinatown, the Exhibition Grounds, the Rogers Centre (formerly the Sky Dome) and one of Toronto's most iconic landmarks - the CN Tower, the tallest free-standing structure in the Western hemisphere and considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. After a full day of sightseeing, we return to our hotel.

Day Three : Niagara Falls

This morning we depart on a full day excursion to Niagara Falls. Just imagine ton after ton of spraying, foaming, rushing water thunderously plunging some 52 metres downwards to the Niagara River below. No wonder Niagara Falls, one of the most famous and spectacular natural wonders in the world, has long been a magnet for daredevils, sightseers and honeymooners. Today includes a visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake, home to the Shaw Festival. Here we discover a small but thriving community, proud to display a carefully preserved nineteenth century atmosphere. Other highlights include the Floral Clock, the Whirlpool rapids, and a thrilling boat ride on the Voyage to the Falls (Formerly Maid of Mist).

Day Four : Toronto – 1000 Islands – Montreal

Day Four : Toronto – 1000 Islands – Montreal

Departing early, we enjoy a pleasant drive east. Following the north shore of Lake Ontario, we pass endless miles of rolling farm land and stop in the beautiful 1000 Islands region (actually, there are over 1,800 islands in total) that dot the St Lawrence River between Canada and the United States, where we embark upon a relaxing cruise for a closer look at this chain of islands, home to cormorants and blue herons, where modest log cabins rival with opulent country mansions. We then continue to Montreal, the second-largest French speaking city in the world.

A sightseeing tour of Montreal, with a local guide, will be on this morning’s program. Highlights will include the financial and shopping districts of the city, the French Quarter, Old Montreal, Mount Royal, an outside view of the 1976 Olympic Site and many other points of interest. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Montreal further at leisure.

Day Six : Montreal – Quebec City

Day Six : Montreal – Quebec City

Today we drive south and meet up with the mighty St. Lawrence River, which we follow along the scenic Chemin du Roy Highway partway to Quebec City. We pass numerous historical French-Canadian villages enroute to Quebec City, the only walled city in North America. Quebec City designated a World Heritage Site by the United Nations, is a photographer’s delight! With a local guide, we will tour within the walls of the Old City; visit Lower Town, Battlefields Park, the Citadel, place Royale and the ornate city gates of Upper Town. We stop at a traditional Sugar Shack for lunch along the way.

Today is at leisure to further explore this remarkable city where every house tells a story and every square exudes the spirit of New France.

Day Eight : Quebec City - Mont Tremblant

Day Eight : Quebec City - Mont Tremblant

Today, we will travel to Tremblant. Located on the shores of Lake Tremblant, the village is a renowned four-seasons resort. The lake’s clear waters and diverse fish population attract many water sports enthusiasts. According to an Amerindian legend, the Algonquins had named the mountain Manitou Ewitchi Saga, “mountain of the dreaded Manitou” for the God who made the mountain tremble when man dared disturb nature.

Day Nine : Mont Tremblant - Ottawa

Day Nine : Mont Tremblant - Ottawa

Traveling southwest through rural Quebec, we reach the shores of the Ottawa River and follow to Gatineau before crossing the border into Ottawa. Along the way we visit Omega Park and enjoy a guided tour. From the lumber and rail centre of bygone days, Ottawa has blossomed into a modern capital, which features an impressive array of public monuments, museum, galleries and other attractions. Sightseeing highlights today include Parliament Hill, the residences of the Prime Minister and Governor General (the Canadian Monarch`s representative in Canada), the National Arts Centre, and the Byward Market.

Day Ten : Ottowa to Huntsville

Day Ten : Ottowa to Huntsville

Today we experience our first encountering of northern wilderness country. Our journey west from Ottawa features sparkling lakes, rushing streams, deep forests and characteristic northern towns. The trip will be highlighted by a drive through Algonquin Park. This immense wildlife and forest preserve is a favourite spot for camping expeditions during the summer months. We enter the Muskoka resort region for a farewell dinner and we will overnight in Huntsville.

Day Eleven : Lake Muskoka - Depart Toronto

Day Eleven : Lake Muskoka - Depart Toronto

This morning, we enjoy a 1.5-hour cruise on Lake Muskoka to discover its history while enjoying breathtaking views of the lake, historic cottages, and beautiful waterfront properties before departing the tranquility and serenity of the Muskoka resort region and head for the bustling city of Toronto. We travel past the industrial city of Barrie and Orillia before heading to Toronto airport for your flight home.

Essential Information

Transfer Time
The transfer from Toronto Pearson International Airport to the Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Downtown is approximately 30-40 minutes. 

The transfer from Huntsville to Toronto Pearson Internation Airport is approximately 2hours 45 minutes.
Dress Code
Dressing in layers is recommended. Casual evening wear is recommended and comfortable shoes for sightseeing. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.
Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters and hotel staff of approximately CAD 70.00 . Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip.

Full 10-year passport is required, valid for 6 months beyond the intended length of stay. Visitors travelling to Canada by air are now expected to get an electronic travel authorisation (eTA) to enter Canada. If you’re visiting Canada you’ll need an eTA to board your flight unless you’re otherwise exempted (for example, if you have a valid Canadian visa or a permanent resident card). 
 
If you have British-Canadian dual nationality you won’t be able to apply for an eTA and you’ll need to present a valid Canadian passport to board your flight to Canada.
