What you'll be doing

Day One: Arrive in Chatham

Day Two: 'Call the Midwife' tour & Chatham Dockyard
After breakfast, we make the short journey to the Historic Chatham Dockyard — home to the Call the Midwife location tour, where you'll walk in the footsteps of Nurse Trixie Franklin, Sister Julienne and Dr Turner and explore where the real drama happens. You'll be guided through the historic dockyard by your very own costumed midwife, armed with a photograph book and tales of their "sisters", before exploring the sets, costumes and props in the all-new exclusive gallery.
You'll also discover how the 400-year-old Chatham Dockyard doubles as East London. Along the tour you'll recognise the cobbled streets and buildings of "Poplar", plus iconic locations such as the Grosvenor Hotel and "Chummy's Hill" — where Nurse Nokes famously learnt to ride her bike. A definite must for all Call the Midwife fans.
After the tour, there's free time to explore the dockyard further, with immersive exhibition galleries, three historic warships and even the chance to join a Ropery tour (14:30, bookable on arrival, free of charge). This evening we enjoy a three-course dinner with a half bottle of wine, followed by tea and coffee.
- Breakfast & dinner with half a bottle of wine included

Day Three: Rochester walking tour
This morning we take the short journey to Rochester, where we meet our walking tour guide to discover the history of the city that inspired Charles Dickens — seen through the eyes of a character from a different time. Entering the High Street via a discreet entrance through the French Hospital, we uncover tales of pilgrims, refugees, agitators, soldiers, sailors and prisoners from around the world — each seeking release, sanctuary and a new life.
Along the way, look out for the Almshouses, Dean's Gate, Rochester Cathedral, the Church of St Nicholas, Jasper's Gate, Two Post Alley, the George Caults, the Guildhall, The Bull Hotel, the Royal Crown, Rochester Bridge Trust, Castle Gardens, Rochester Castle and more.
After the 90-minute walking tour, you have free time to explore further before returning to the hotel for a three-course dinner with a half bottle of wine, followed by tea and coffee.
- Breakfast & dinner with half a bottle of wine included

Day Four: Depart Chatham
After a relaxed breakfast, we take some time to enjoy the hotel's facilities before checking out and saying our goodbyes.
