Welcome to the Delta Hotels by Marriott Northampton Hotel for our three days of Solos festive fun. Check-in from 3pm and join your fellow Solos guests for an afternoon cream tea, including fresh scones with cream & jam served with tea & coffee and festive mulled wine. Following a welcome meeting hosted by our Tour Leader along with pre-dinner drinks & canapes we enjoy dinner with dancing to a disco.

Day Two: Christmas Day

The big day has arrived. Perhaps take a leisurely breakfast and have a relaxing morning before the day’s festivities commence. At lunchtime, we come together to enjoy a pre-dinner drink followed by the traditional three course Christmas lunch with wine. After lunch, relax around the hotel and perhaps make use of the games room or visit the hotel gym before Christmas cake is served with tea & coffee.  Later in the evening, we can enjoy a light buffet dinner followed by a fun Christmas quiz with your Tour Leader.

Day Three: Boxing Day

Today is the traditional Christmas visit to the 'Panto'. After a leisurely breakfast, we catch our organised coach early afternoon to the theatre to see this year’s pantomime - Beauty and the Beast, with an interval icecream included. After an afternoon of fun and laughter, we return to our hotel for an afternoon tea of sweet & savoury snacks.  We then meet early evening for pre-dinner drinks and enjoy our evening three course dinner before dancing the night away at our exclusive Boxing Day dinner dance/disco.

Have been to Northampton for Christmas a few times, enjoyed the programme, friendly people, hotel staff and general festive atmosphere.

Important Information
Please note that pantomime seats are allocated at the time of the event and we will try to seat you all together, however this cannot be guaranteed.  
Dress Code
The dress code for during the day is casual. In the evenings the dress code is smart with gentlemen requested to wear a shirt and tie. Comfortable shoes for walking and sightseeing are recommended. Further details for Christmas will be sent with your itinerary.
Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual.We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides and hotel staff (including restaurant, kitchen and reception staff) of approximately £10. 
 
Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of bar staff and housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (the rounding up of the drinks bill and a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, restaurants expect a 10% gratuity (do check that service has not already been added to your bill). For taxis 10% of the metered fare.
Permissions

WhatsApp Group: Shortly before your holiday, you will be invited to join an optional WhatsApp group to connect with your fellow travellers and your Tour Leader. If you choose to join the WhatsApp group, you’re consenting to your phone number being visible to other travellers. Photos or messages may be shared within the group. Solos may use group content for marketing purposes. You can opt out at any time by emailing: [email protected]. 

If you would prefer not to join the WhatsApp group, you can simply meet the group on your first day instead. Please note, if you have not received an email within 24 hours of departure, we recommend you check your email junk folder. Upon the conclusion of your holiday, please be informed that we will close your specific holiday WhatsApp group. Therefore, we recommend making personal arrangements with those you wish to stay in touch with before the holiday concludes. 

Photo Permissions: At the beginning of your trip, your Tour Leader will ask if you would be happy to sign a photo permission form. This means that any photographs taken during your holiday can be used by Solos to share what the Solos experience is all about. It also means you have lots of memories to go home with! Details will be given at your welcome meeting

Delta Hotels by Marriott Northampton is just off junction 15 of the M1, and close to the A45. Northampton train station is 3 miles away. Complimentary car parking is available.
