Once again, we're heading back to our ever popular Canary Island winter week of golf. Come join your fellow solo travellers for some sunshine and relaxed golf on the laid-back island of Lanzarote. Staying at the Solos favourite - the VIK Hotel San Antonio, we are ideally placed to enjoy our golf and leisure time in the beautiful resort of Puerto del Carmen. Lanzarote Golf

Lanzarote is a great mixture of traditional, whitewashed villages, lush gardens, pretty beaches and an exotic lunar landscape, courtesy of the numerous volcanoes that dot the island. Our hotel is located in Puerto del Carmen with the golf course nearby.
Lanzarote Golf Course
Designed by Ron Kirby, this undulating course has been perfectly incorporated into the landscape and has a wonderfully natural feel. With very few trees, the main hazards are in the form of tough bunkers and lots of carefully placed cacti. The wide, open fairways and large, fast greens require thoughtful negotiation, especially on a windy day, when breezes from the nearby Atlantic provide a distinct links feel. The newly built and improved club house is a great place to relax after your round.

VIK Hotel San Antonio
It's all about the location! This Solos favourite hotel is located on the sandy beach of Los Pocillos. A traditionally Spanish hotel with a superb beachfront setting between Puerto del Carmen and Playa de los Pocillos, the relaxing sands don't get much closer than this! What's more, the views are amazing across the whole hotel.
Facilities include
Hotel facilities include a restaurant, pool bar with BBQ station and cocktail bar with daily live evening entertainment and dancing. There are two outdoor heated swimming pools (salt water) and two tennis courts. There is also a gym and a range of activities are organised daily.
Room includes
All rooms are air-conditioned with a balcony, satellite TV, telephone, and hairdryer. Fridge (to rent from €8 per week), safe (to rent from €11 per week), there is a charge for the tea/coffee making facilities (currently €28 per week) and beach towel rental is €10 (refunded upon return).

Golf Handicaps
Handicap certificates are not required for this holiday, however, you should be a reasonably experienced player as the holiday is not intended for beginners.

Most golf clubs have these items available for hire, however this is not always the case, so clients would be advised to check with us beforehand if they have any specific requirements.( approx prices subject to change)

Carriage of Clubs
We advise you to use a light golf bag when packing your clubs. We suggest you wrap a towel round the neck of the clubs to protect them and stop them rattling around whilst in transit. It's also important to then place the bag and clubs in an outer carrying bag, which can be purchased from any good golf shop.

What to Wear
Golf attire during the day. We suggest smart casual for the evenings.
Golf shoes with soft spikes are required.
Gratuities
We suggest a Group Collection to cover transfer drivers, and hotel staff of €25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.
Golf Club Insurance
You will most probably find that your golf clubs are covered on your household insurance policy. Most policies cover a single item such as golf clubs for a period out of the country. However, you should make very sure that you do have sufficient cover and take out an additional policy if required.
Passports & Visas Spain
A full 10-year passport is required valid for at least the duration of your stay. Holders of passports with the inscription “British Citizen” or “European Union” do not require a visa.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct visa, a valid passport and any other travel documents for your holiday. All information provided relates to British citizens who hold or are entitled to apply for a British passport.

If you are not a British citizen and do not hold a British passport, you must make your own enquiries as to the applicable requirements.
From the 12th October 2025 the EU is introducing a new European Entry System (EES) that will be phased in and fully operational by the 10th April 2026. Non-EU nationals including British passport holders will now be required to complete biometric checks on arrival and exit to Schengen countries, which will include facial recognition and fingerprints. There is no cost for this, and no action needs to be taken prior to departure.
