We begin in Portugal, exploring the historic streets of Faro and the lively markets of Loulé, before continuing into Spain to experience the culture and traditions of Seville, Cádiz, Jerez and Vejer de la Frontera. We then travel to Gibraltar, where we enjoy spectacular views across the Strait and encounter the famous Barbary Macaques. Our adventure concludes in Tangier, where we cross into Morocco and explore its vibrant markets and fascinating North African atmosphere. Day Three: Seville Cathedral & Real Alcázar
We leave Portugal and travel towards Seville, one of Andalusia’s most captivating cities. We explore the historic streets on a guided walking tour and discover iconic landmarks including the magnificent Cathedral and the Alcázar. We take in the lively atmosphere and rich heritage of this beautiful Spanish city. We finish the day with a delightful sherry tasting, giving us an authentic taste of Andalusian tradition. We enjoy the city’s unique blend of history, architecture and vibrant Spanish culture. It is a memorable introduction to the heart of Andalusia.

Day Four: Cádiz & Jerez de la Frontera
We explore Cádiz, one of Europe’s oldest cities, where we discover its historic character and beautiful coastline. We stroll through the city and enjoy its unique atmosphere, shaped by centuries of maritime history. We then continue to Jerez de la Frontera, renowned for its equestrian traditions and Andalusian heritage. We discover the region’s famous connections with flamenco, sherry production and equestrian culture. We enjoy the contrast between Cádiz’s coastal setting and Jerez’s traditional inland character. Together, these two destinations offer a fascinating glimpse into the heritage of Andalusia.

Day Five: Vejer de la Frontera
We travel to the picturesque hilltop village of Vejer de la Frontera, famous for its beautiful white-washed buildings. We stroll through its charming streets and discover the character and history of this traditional Andalusian village. We pause to admire the wonderful views across the surrounding countryside. We enjoy a more relaxed day while taking in the peaceful atmosphere and timeless beauty of Vejer. We have time to appreciate the village’s distinctive architecture and traditional atmosphere. The day gives us a chance to experience a quieter and more authentic side of Andalusia.

Day Six: Gibraltar & the Rock
We travel to Gibraltar and explore the iconic Rock, beginning at Europa Point, the southernmost point of Gibraltar, where we enjoy spectacular views across the Strait towards North Africa. We continue into the Upper Rock Nature Reserve and visit St Michael’s Cave, with its impressive natural formations deep inside the limestone Rock. We then visit Apes’ Den, where we encounter Gibraltar’s famous Barbary Macaques, Europe’s only free-roaming monkeys. We explore the Great Siege Tunnels, an extraordinary network of military tunnels carved into the Rock during the Great Siege of 1779–1783. Together, these remarkable sights give us a fascinating insight into Gibraltar’s natural beauty, wildlife, military history and unique position between Europe and Africa.

Day Seven: Tangier, Morocco & Farewell Dinner
We cross the Strait of Gibraltar by ferry and arrive in Tangier, Morocco, where a fascinating North African experience awaits us. We explore the city on a guided walking tour and wander through its traditional markets, filled with colourful textiles, fragrant spices and intricate crafts. We soak up the lively atmosphere and enjoy a taste of Moroccan culture before returning to Spain. In the evening, we come together for a farewell dinner to celebrate the wonderful experiences and memories we have shared throughout our journey. We reflect on the highlights of our adventure as we enjoy our final evening together. We celebrate the friendships, discoveries and special moments that have made this journey so memorable.

Day Eight: Departure Day
We enjoy our final morning together before checking out of our hotel in the Algeciras area. We take a last moment to reflect on our journey through three fascinating countries and the many places we have discovered along the way. We then transfer to the Malaga airport for our onward journey home.

Visas are not required by British Passport holders for stays of upto 3 months
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct visa, a valid passport and any other travel documents for your holiday. From the 12th October 2025 the EU is introducing a new European Entry System (EES) that will be phased in and fully operational by the 10th April 2026. Non-EU nationals including British passport holders will now be required to complete biometric checks on arrival and exit to Schengen countries, which will include facial recognition and fingerprints. There is no cost for this, and no action needs to be taken prior to departure.
To enter Portugal or Madeira your passport must meet 2 requirements. It must be:- less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’)
- valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’)

The transfer from Faro Airport to the Occidental Faro by private coach usually takes approximately 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
The transfer from the Hotel Alborán Algeciras to Málaga Airport by private coach usually takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes–1 hour 45 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
