Day One: Arrive in Valencia
Welcome to Valencia, a beautiful Mediterranean city famous for its sunshine, culture and incredible festival atmosphere. On arrival at Valencia Airport, we transfer to our four-star hotel, where there’ll be time to settle in.
Later this evening, we join our Tour Leader and travel companions for a welcome drink—the perfect opportunity to get to know the group and hear more about the exciting days ahead. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner together at a local restaurant, offering the chance to relax, socialise and sample some delicious Valencian cuisine.
Depending on your arrival time, perhaps head out for a first glimpse of the city as Valencia prepares for the height of the Las Fallas celebrations. Streets are filled with colourful decorations, music and buzzing cafés, creating an exciting atmosphere from the moment you arrive.

Day Two: Valencia Walking Tour & Agua de Valencia Tasting
Today we discover the enchanting city of Valencia on an included guided walking tour. Blending ancient history with futuristic architecture, Valencia is one of Spain’s most fascinating destinations. Our tour takes us through the atmospheric cobbled streets of the historic centre, where we’ll admire elegant squares, traditional buildings and some of the city’s most famous landmarks.
Highlights may include the magnificent Valencia Cathedral in the Barrio del Carmen and the impressive Silk Exchange, one of the city’s architectural treasures. Along the way, our guide will share stories of Valencia’s rich history and explain the traditions behind the world-famous Las Fallas Festival.
During our tour, we’ll also stop at a local bar to enjoy a tasting of Agua de Valencia, the city’s signature cocktail made with orange juice, cava and spirits—a delicious introduction to Valencian culture and hospitality.
The remainder of the day is free to continue exploring or perhaps join fellow travellers in experiencing the lively festival atmosphere around the city.

Day Three: Day at leisure
Today is free for us to enjoy Valencia at our own pace and soak up the incredible Las Fallas atmosphere. Enjoy the freedom to spend time wandering through Valencia’s charming Old Town, relaxing in one of the lively plazas or admiring the impressive Fallas sculptures displayed across the city during the festival celebrations. There will also be plenty of opportunities to experience the lively Las Fallas atmosphere, including traditional parades, street performances and spectacular fireworks displays taking place throughout the day and evening.
You may also wish to visit the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, Valencia’s world-famous architectural complex featuring striking modern buildings, landscaped gardens and cultural attractions. Alternatively, head towards Valencia’s beautiful seaside area where you can stroll along the beach promenade, enjoy fresh seafood in one of the waterfront restaurants or simply relax by the Mediterranean coast.
With excellent public transport links and plenty to see and do, our free day is the perfect opportunity to experience Valencia in our own way, while soaking up the excitement of one of Spain’s most spectacular festivals.

Day Four: Las Fallas Festival Experience
Today is dedicated to experiencing the unforgettable Las Fallas celebrations in full swing. Valencia comes alive with an electric atmosphere as locals and visitors gather to celebrate this extraordinary annual festival.
During the day, admire the incredible papier-mâché Fallas sculptures displayed throughout the city — many standing several storeys high and created with remarkable artistry and humour. The streets are filled with marching bands, traditional Valencian costumes, music and the scent of local food being prepared in busy squares and cafés.
As evening approaches, the excitement builds towards the spectacular festival celebrations and fireworks. Las Fallas is famous for its dramatic displays of fire, sound and celebration, creating an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Europe. This is a truly unforgettable cultural experience and the perfect finale to your Valencia city break.

Day Five: Departure day
After breakfast, we transfer to Valencia Airport for our return journey home. Leaving behind the unforgettable atmosphere of Las Fallas, you’ll return with wonderful memories of Valencia, its colourful traditions and the friendships made whilst travelling with your Solos group.

The card is a fantastic way to explore Valencia independently during your free time, giving you easy access to the city’s historic centre, beaches, museums and festival celebrations.
From the 12th October 2025 the EU is introducing a new European Entry System (EES) that will be phased in and fully operational by the 10th April 2026. Non-EU nationals including British passport holders will now be required to complete biometric checks on arrival and exit to Schengen countries, which will include facial recognition and fingerprints. There is no cost for this, and no action needs to be taken prior to departure.
The order of the itinerary and events may be subject to change according to traffic, weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances beyond control.

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below.
The Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters and hotel staff of approximately EUR 20.00. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip.
