Premium Vilamoura Golf
Dom Pedro Millennium
18 holes, 6176m, Par 72 Opened in 2000, this classic parkland course carves its way through a pine forest with a number of challenging water hazards which add to the test. This beautiful and highly rated course that strikes the perfect balance of testing the better golfers whilst remaining manageable for the average visitor. Transfer time from hotel - 7 mins approx
Dom Pedro Pinhal
18 holes, 6353 metres, Par 72 Pinhal Golf Course was opened for play in 1976 and owes its personality to the original designer Frank Pennink who also turned his hand to Dom Pedro Old Course Golf Club nearby, and Robert Trent Jones Sr., who made a number of significant refinements in 1985. Traversing undulating parkland, many fairways on this course are lined by pine trees. However, perhaps an even more significant challenge is presented by the Umbrella and Atlantic pines which present themselves on fairways and at times on the approach into greens. Length has recently been added on a number of holes, which ensure the test originally envisioned by Pennink is maintained.
Golfers will be pleased to learn that the ponds and stream which come into play on five holes should not, for the most part, present a serious threat. One of the most remarked upon features of Dom Pedro Pinhal Golf Course, in Vilamoura, is the stunning panorama provided from the clubhouse, which extends over the excellent driving range and practice facilities and beyond. Completely renovated at the turn of the millennium, its veranda offers the perfect setting for post-round relaxation. Transfer time from hotel - 7 mins approx
Dom Pedro Old
18 holes, 6254 metres, Par 72 This beautiful course is one of the Vilamoura “must plays”. The course is laid out through a pine forest, and has a great variety of holes. It is not necessarily for the longer hitters but if you keep your ball in play, you will score well here. Transfer time from hotel - 7 mins approx
Laguna Golf
18 holes, 6121 metres, Par 72 Designed by golf architect Joseph Lee, this course offers characteristics of a traditional links layout and has earned a reputation as a unique offering within the Dom Pedro Vilamoura golf portfolio. Its many water hazards and few trees sets it apart and with the positioning of bunkers and a number of water obstacles demands accuracy of play, making an enjoyable and test for all golfers. The course has been continually improved over the years since opening in the early 90's and has truly found its individuality in the number of holes which the American golf course architect created over low-lying coastal terrain, establishing 18 holes which offer a wide variety of playing conditions. Clients will most probably find that their golf clubs are covered on their household insurance policy. Most policies cover a single item such as golf clubs for a period out of the country. However, clients should make very sure that they do have adequate cover for their equipment

Carriage of Clubs
We advise you to use a light golf bag when packing your clubs. We suggest you wrap a towel round the neck of the clubs to protect them and stop them rattling around whilst in transit. It is also important to then place the bag and clubs in an outer carrying bag, which can be purchased from any good golf shop.
What to Wear
Golf attire during the day. We suggest smart casual for the evenings.
Golf shoes with soft spikes are required.
Gratuities
We suggest a Group Collection to cover transfer drivers, and hotel staff of €25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.
Passports and Visas
To enter Portugal or Madeira your passport must meet 2 requirements. It must be:
- less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’)
- valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’)
Check both the issue date and the expiry date in your passport. If you renewed your passport early, extra months may have been added to its expiry date. This could affect the requirement for your passport to be less than 10 years old.
A visa is not required by holders of passports endorsed “British Citizen” for stays of upto 90 days in any 180-day period. Please note that stays in other EU countries counts towards this 90 day period. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct visa, a valid passport and any other travel documents for your holiday.
