The Skiathos Somnia is a comfortable property centrally located in Skiathos Town, making it a perfect base from which to explore with a bus station next door and facilities where you can relax and unwind. Skiathos Town offers a wide variety of taverns, bars, cafes and shops meaning you can really experience Skiathos to the fullest.

    Step into the scenes of the beloved musical Mamma Mia! with a tour of the filming locations scattered around the Sporades Islands, chosen for their breathtaking natural beauty.

    The journey includes stops at several iconic locations featured in the movie on the island of Skopelos such as Kastani Beach, the primary filming location for the movie and the "Mama Mia" church, offering fans a chance to relive memorable moments and admire the landscapes that stole the show—even from the Hollywood stars. Lunch will be at the stunning, wind-sheltered Panormos Bay and we will stop for an afternoon swim at Milia Beach, widely considered the most beautiful beach on Skopelos.

       to a sunset-facing tasting, this experience is a tribute to the authentic flavors and traditions of the Sporades. 
 
       Tour Highlights: Scenic Mountain Transfer: Relax as our dedicated mini-buses whisk you away from the coast, climbing through pine-scented forests to 
       reach the island’s hidden mountainous interior. Guided Winery Exploration: Join an expert-led tour during our scheduled sessions (12:30, 15:30, or 18:30). 
       Learn about the unique local grape varieties and the meticulous process of turning mountain harvests into award-winning wines. 
 
       Curated Wine Tasting: Savor a flight of four distinct local wines, each selected to showcase the diversity of the estate’s production, from crisp whites to 
       robust island reds.

        rugged northern coastline, where dramatic white cliffs meet the deep turquoise of the Aegean. From the world-famous pebbles of Lalaria to 
        the silent, stone ruins of the island’s medieval capital, this journey is a perfect blend of natural wonder and historical discovery. 

        Tour Highlights: Departure from Skiathos Port: Set sail between 09:30 and 10:00 for a day of exploration along the island’s most 
        breathtaking coastlines. Lalaria Beach (The Egg-Shaped Pebbles): Our first stop is the world-renowned Lalaria, accessible only by boat. 
        Swim in crystal-clear turquoise waters and admire the "Tripia Petra" (hollow rock). This beach is famous for its unique, perfectly smooth 
        white pebbles known as "Lalaria," shaped like small eggs over centuries. (Duration: 1–1.5 hours). 

        The Medieval Stronghold of Kastro: Journey back in time at Kastro, the rocky fortress that served as the island's capital until the late 1700s. 
        Built to protect residents from pirate invasions, it offers a glimpse into the past with its ancient churches and ruins. Choose to swim in the 
        cove below or hike up to the summit for spectacular panoramic views of the Northern Aegean. (Duration: 1.5 hours).

        Authentic Pelion Lunch at Katigiorgi: Leave the island behind briefly as we cross to the mainland. We dock at the charming fishing village of 
        Katigiorgi in Pelion, where you can enjoy a fresh seafood lunch by the water in a traditional Greek setting. 

        Tsougria Island – The Deserted Paradise: Our final stop is the uninhabited island of Tsougria, located just across from Skiathos Town.        
        Known for its lush greenery and emerald waters, it is the perfect spot for a final relaxing swim before returning to port. 

           Duration: Approximately 7–8 hours

Dress Code
Casual, cotton,  lightweight daytime wear is the order of the day. Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the vening, with the emphasis throughout being informal but with no shorts or vests in the restaurants in the evenings. Early and late season evenings can be cool, so do ensure that you take a cardigan or jacket and even some rainwear.
Gratuities
We suggest a Group Collection to cover transfer drivers nd hotel staff of €20.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, 'the hat' will be passes around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate percentage add on.
Important Information
The sea is not swimmable in Skiathos town as it is a port, but the local bus is easily accessible right next to the hotel and goes to several beaches. Siferi Beach is 5 minutes by bus and Megali Ammos is 10 minutes by bus. The cost for the bus is a maximum of €3* depending on where you would like to get off. 
 
Shoulder seasons can be quieter than peak times in the local resorts.

Passport & Visa

We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.
