We are delighted to feature, a true Solos favourite, the Almerimar Golf Resort for our 2027 Spring Festival.  The spectacular 27 hole golf course, popular with Solos golfers, is ideally located adjacent to our hotel - the Hotel AR Golf Almerimar making a perfect venue to host our week of Solos festival golf.

The course is located right next to our hotel. An easy course to walk, which provides a good challenge for all standards of player. It has a Florida feel due to the many palm trees. Designed by the legendary South African, Gary Player, the wide fairways, bordered by the amazing palm trees, are punctuated by a number of beautiful but dangerous water hazards. The signature hole on the course is the 10th – a 167 yard island green par 3 – reminiscent of the 17th at Sawgrass – a real test of skill and precision.

Health requirements
We recommend that you check if vaccinations are required for your destination at the CDC’s recommendations for your visited destination(s). We also recommend you purchase travel protection. A travel protection plan can often assist with medical emergencies and reimburse costs that are covered by the plan. Please verify coverage details with Solos before you travel.
Golf Handicaps
World Handicap System (WHS ) Handicap Players Only - WHS Handicap 38 or lower Handicap Index number is required at the time of booking Please advise our reservations team. Alternatively you can add this to the special requirements box on our booking page. If you have a certificate please ensure you take it with you on the trip, this enables the Tour Leader to assess everyone’s ability, so that rounds and competitions can be organised fairly. If you are uncertain about these requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to advise you. This trip is for golfers with a WGS handicap of 38 or lower .  Handicap certificates are required   https://www.randa.org/WorldHandicapSystem  
Golf Club Insurance
Clients will most probably find that their golf clubs are covered on their household insurance policy. Most policies cover a single item such as golf clubs for a period out of the country. However, clients should make very sure that they do have insurance with adequate cover to cover 
Buggy, Trolley & Club Hire
Most golf clubs have these items available for hire, however this is not always the case, so clients would be advised to check with us beforehand if they have any specific requirements.

Carriage of Clubs
We advise you to use a light golf bag when packing your clubs. We suggest you wrap a towel round the neck of the clubs to protect them and stop them rattling around whilst in transit. It is also important to then place the bag and clubs in an outer carrying bag, which can be purchased from any good golf shop.
What to Wear
Golf attire during the day. We suggest smart casual for the evenings. Golf shoes with soft spikes are required.

We suggest a Group Collection to cover transfer drivers, and hotel staff of €15.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate add on.
Passports and visas
We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.
