Day Seven: Lombok to Bali
This morning, we return to the harbour to catch our boat back to Bali. On arrival, we transfer to our hotel in the coastal town of Sanur, located on the island's southeast coast. Sanur retains a strong Balinese identity, with many temples, ceremonies and traditional art markets. The afternoon is at our leisure.

Day Eight: Ancient Balinese Villages
We begin the day at a traditional Balinese home to learn about Asta Kosala Kosali, the ancient principles guiding the layout of homes and temples. Enjoy local snacks with coffee or tea before joining village women to make Canang offerings and try anyaman, the intricate art of weaving coconut leaves into mats or decorative items—a craft that requires patience, focus, and precision.
Our village exploration continues with a demonstration of tuak (coconut wine) production and observing how Minyak Tandusan (coconut oil) is traditionally made, a staple in every Balinese kitchen.
It’s then time to get muddy with a hands-on experience of Balinese ploughing and rice planting, guided by local farmers after an introduction to the Subak irrigation system. A traditional lunch in the rice fields rewards your efforts.
In the afternoon, visit Pura Kehen, a stunning 11th-century temple, explore Penglipuran Village, known for preserving ancient customs, and, weather permitting, end the day with panoramic views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur in Kintamani.
- Breakfast & lunch included

Day Nine: Traditional Farewell
After a morning at leisure, we’ll be picked up this afternoon to visit the famous Uluwatu Temple, perched 70 metres above sea level on a steep cliff. This temple, one of seven sea temples forming a 'chain' around Bali, offers dramatic views of the Indian Ocean waves crashing against the rocks. A highlight of the visit is the traditional Kecak dance performance, featuring up to a hundred male performers chanting and swaying to hypnotic music, depicting scenes from the Hindu epic - The Ramayana.
