What you'll be doing

Day One: Arrive in Milan & transfer to Lake Como
We arrive at Milan Malpensa Airport and transfer to our hotel in Como. This evening, we come together for a welcome drink and enjoy dinner together (evening meal not included).

Day Two: The Bernina Express & St Moritz
Our adventure culminates in St. Moritz, Switzerland’s most glamorous mountain resort, renowned for its chic boutiques, elegant cafés, and world-class scenery. We enjoy some free time here before making our way back to Lake Como.
- Breakfast included

Day Three: Walking tour of Como & Bellagio
After breakfast, we travel to Como for a guided walking tour, offering the perfect introduction to this elegant lakeside town. As we wander through the historic centre, we'll discover charming piazzas, stylish boutiques and the impressive Gothic-Renaissance Duomo, while learning about the town's rich history and famous silk-making heritage. Following our tour, we continue to Bellagio, often referred to as the "Pearl of Lake Como". Set on a picturesque promontory where the lake's three branches meet, Bellagio enchants visitors with its colourful waterfront, narrow cobbled lanes, elegant villas and spectacular lake views. Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace, perhaps relaxing in a lakeside café or browsing the local shops before returning to the hotel.
- Breakfast included

Day Four: Lake Iseo & Franciacorta
After breakfast, we head to Lake Iseo, where we board a boat for a scenic cruise around the lake's three islands – Monte Isola, Loreto and San Paolo. As we glide across the tranquil waters, we'll enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and picturesque lakeside villages. Following the cruise, we disembark at Peschiera Maraglio on Monte Isola, Europe's largest inhabited lake island. Here, you'll have free time to explore the charming village, stroll along the waterfront and enjoy lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, we rejoin our boat for the return journey to Iseo before continuing our day in the Franciacorta wine region.
We continue to the heart of Franciacorta, where a visit to a local winery awaits. Here, we’ll learn about the time-honoured production of Italian Spumante, followed by an indulgent tasting session paired with regional snacks.
- Breakfast included

Day Five: Day at leisure
Today we have free time to enjoy the area around Lake Como. We might take a hike along the shoreline, rent bikes to explore the local surroundings, or hop on a ferry to Varenna (pictured), Bellagio — or even both if we’re feeling adventurous.
- Breakfast included

Day Six: Departure day
After breakfast, we transfer from our hotel to Milan Malpensa Airport for our onward journey.

Essential Information
As part of health & safety we do require all our guests to be able to manage the demands of the trip. This will often include early starts with long days travelling by foot and on and off minibuses/coaches. You also must be mindful that when visiting a country with different cuisine and culture, special dietary requests cannot always be made as readily available with great choice. Please see the day by day itinerary for details of the programme. The order of the itinerary and events may be subject to change according to traffic, weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances beyond control.
Bernina Express Excursion
The Bernina Express excursion is subject to confirmation by the railway operator and ticket availability. For departures after 12 December 2026, bookings cannot be guaranteed until approximately 4–5 months before travel. Should timetable or availability issues arise, the excursion may operate on an alternative day or departure time and the itinerary may be adjusted accordingly. Ensure you carry your passport with you on this excursion as you are crossing country borders.
We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

Whether you'd like us to arrange your flights or prefer to book your own, we're here to make the process easy. Our team can secure flights from the location that suits you best, or provide all the arrival and departure details you'll need if booking independently.

The summer months can be hot so comfortable wear with layers are recommended for during the day. Smart casual wear is recommended for the evenings. Comfortable shoes are a “must” for sightseeing. We recommend wearing closed and comfortable shoes (high heels and flip-flops are not recommended).
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. To give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection at the beginning of your holiday to cover drivers, guides, porters, and hotel staff of approximately EUR 25.00 per person. Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip.
