The 15-room SkyView Apartments is reserved entirely for Solos guests. This means everything—from the pool to the restaurant, bar and sun terrace—is for the exclusive use of our group. It’s an intimate sanctuary where you’re surrounded by a community of 100% like-minded travelers, offering a "private club" feel, with mesmerising views over the Bay of Kotor.

Our exclusive 15-room hotel is within walking distance of both Kumbor and Zmijica beaches, where you’ll find a handful of beach bars and restaurants. It’s just a bus or 40-minute taxi ride to the beautiful walled town of Kotor. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the most visited coastal towns in Montenegro. Flanked by steep-sided mountains the Bay of Kotor is the jewel in Montenegro’s crown. From the waterfront promenade, follow a maze of stone paths to Orthodox churches, cathedrals, Venetian palaces, boutiques and piazzas with welcoming cafes, bars and restaurants. Day or night – when the magnificent fortifications illuminate the town’s mountain slopes – it’s impossible not to fall under Kotor’s spell. The Bay of Kotor itself can easily be mistaken for a lake as it is surrounded by high mountains, creating mesmerising scenery.

Skadar Lake & Budva Old Town: Discover Europe's largest bird reserve on a boat trip from Virpazar through Skadar Lake, followed by a visit to the charming Budva Old Town.

Offering a delightful beachfront location overlooking Kotor Bay, our exclusive property is the perfect choice for a fun and relaxing holiday in Montenegro.

Facilities include:

Relax with new friends on the furnished sun terrace overlooking the sea and take advantage of direct access to the beachfront. Facilities include heated pool, restaurant, pool bar, outdoor dining area, coffee shop and free Wi-Fi throughout. Please note there is no lift in this hotel, all floors inclsuing the rooftop breakfast terrace is access by stairs.

SkyView Apartments has a selection of 17 comfortable, well-appointed rooms. All the hotel’s air-conditioned rooms feature en-suite bathrooms with walk-in shower and include toiletries, hairdryer, mini bar, iron, kettle, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV and balcony/terrace Pool towels are provided.

Hotel Advisory

This property is located on a hill and therefore may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
The hotel bar is not open past 11pm

Local Bus to Kotor €1.50 to €2.50 each way, with a bus stop located 10 minute walk from our hotel (subject to the local service operating).

You may wish to take an optional excursion during the course of your stay. Full details will be given at the Information Meeting. Please note:- Optional excursions are not guaranteed and are based on minimum numbers. The prices quoted are guideline only and may involve other holidaymakers. All tours should be paid for in Euros and are payable by card. The exact amount will be given at your Information Meeting.

Your Tour Leader will help arrange these for you but may not necessarily accompany you.

Boka Bay Boat Trip - From €70.00

This trip begins with a short ride towards Our Lady of the Rocks, then sails on to the Blue cave, where you can dive and swim in the blue light and crystal clear water. This is followed by a visit into an old submarine tunnel and past the old fortress on Mamula Island.

Skadar Lake & Budva Old Town - From €120.00

Experience the breathtaking landscape of Lake Skadar where you will find Europe's largest bird reserve. We arrive in the idyllic town of Virpazar where we board our boat that leads througha narrow channel out to the lake. On our return, we spend a short stop visiting Budva old town

Lovcen National Park - from €130.00

A visit to Lovcen National Park is a must duringyour time in Montenegro. We will take a panoramic road up to the park with sweeping views over Kotor and Boka Bay. On the way we visit the Mausoleum of Njegos located at 1657m above sea level and where you have the opportunity to climb 461 stairs to see a magical view. Our next stop is the Royal Capital of Cetinje, where you will have some free time to wander the ancient streets.

We then head onwards to Lipa Cave where we will have a 1 hour guided tour which allows for us to see views of Dobrsko Village, Skadar Lake and the Lovcen Mountain range.

Gratuities

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €25.00 per guest.

Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % to add on.

Dress Code

Casual, cotton, lightweight daytime wear is the order of the day. Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the evening. Early and late season evenings can be cool so do ensure that you take a cardigan or jacket and even some rainwear to cover all eventualities

Permissions

WhatsApp Group: Shortly before your holiday, you will be invited to join an optional WhatsApp group to connect with your fellow travellers and your Tour Leader. If you choose to join the WhatsApp group, you’re consenting to your phone number being visible to other travellers. Photos or messages may be shared within the group. Solos may use group content for marketing purposes. You can opt out at any time by emailing: [email protected].

If you would prefer not to join the WhatsApp group, you can simply meet the group on your first day instead. Please note, if you have not received an email within 24 hours of departure, we recommend you check your email junk folder. Upon the conclusion of your holiday, please be informed that we will close your specific holiday WhatsApp group. Therefore, we recommend making personal arrangements with those you wish to stay in touch with before the holiday concludes.

Photo Permissions: At the beginning of your trip, your Tour Leader will ask if you would be happy to sign a photo permission form. This means that any photographs taken during your holiday can be used by Solos to share what the Solos experience is all about. It also means you have lots of memories to go home with! Details will be given at your welcome meeting

Transfer Time

The transfer from Tivat airport to the hotel is approximately 35 minutes to 1.5 hrs dependant on traffic and border control.

Passports and visas

We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

Health requirements

We recommend that you check if vaccinations are required for your destination at the CDC’s recommendations for your visited destination(s). We also recommend you purchase travel protection. Connectivity

Mobile roaming can be costly in Montenegro. You may want to consider turning off data roaming to avoid high phone charges or purchase an e-SIM card. WiFi is provided at the hotel so calls and messages can be made using a WIFI connection.
