Angela Studios features spacious studio apartments spread across three floors, with upper levels easily accessible via a lift. With a well-stocked supermarket just a short stroll away, you're free to pick up your favourite snacks and beverages to enjoy at your own pace. We have three included dinners held at a nearby taverna. For the remainder of the week, we can choose to stay in our resort or head into the capital, Zante Town, just a 25 minute drive away. Your in-house Solos Tour Leader will be on hand to help with valuable local advice, whatever you decide to do.

If you're in the mood to venture beyond the poolside, Zakynthos offers far more than just its idyllic beaches. A visit to the island’s capital, Zakynthos Town—once affectionately known as the Venice of the South—is a must. Here, you can spend a leisurely day discovering ancient churches and fascinating museums, such as the Church of Saint Dionysios, dedicated to the island’s patron saint. For a different perspective, set sail along Zakynthos’ breathtaking coastline, taking in secluded coves and iconic spots like Navagio (Shipwreck) Beach. And for those with a spirit of adventure, a guided or self-guided hike offers a wonderful way to experience the island’s natural beauty up close and on foot.

The Angela Studios

Our small, simple and friendly family owned property is ideally located in a quiet corner of Alykanas, surrounded by pine and olive trees and just minutes from the sandy beach. There are a number of bars, restaurants, convenience shops and a supermarket all located nearby.

Facilities include

Facilities include a private outdoor swimming pool with loungers and umbrellas and a poolside changing room with toilet and shower. Breakfast and lounge area, honesty bar and common outdoor gardens complete this lovely property. Hotel Advisory Lifts are available at this property. Please inform us if you have mobility issues so that we can assign a room accordingly. Ground floor rooms cannot be guaranteed.

Room includes

Our 13 pleasant rooms feature Air Conditioning (payable locally) a kitchenette with fridge and safety deposit box. The sleeping area is equipped with an LCD TV and a private balcony furnished with a small table and chairs.  A number of hairdryers are available to hire (with an additional charge, payable locally) Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Pool/Beach towel is provided (€10 refundable deposit).

The transfer time from Zakynthos Airport to The Angela Studios - Alykanas is approximately 25-30 minutes.
Time difference

Greece is 2 hours ahead of the UK.

Passports and Visas
We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.

Health requirements
We recommend that you check if vaccinations are required for your destination at the CDC’s recommendations for your visited destination(s). We also recommend you purchase travel protection. Optional or Pre-Bookable Excursions

You may wish to take an optional excursion during the course of your stay. Full details will be given at the Information Meeting. All tours should be paid for in Euros. Credit cards are not accepted. The exact amount will be given at your Information Meeting. Your Tour Leader will help arrange these for you but may not necessarily accompany you.

  • Island tour by bus. Currently from €45
  • Turtle tour by boat. Currently from €35 plus cost of bus to Laganas to pick up the boat
  • Boat trip to Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Beach). Currently from €45

Please note:- Optional excursions are not guaranteed and are based on minimum numbers. The prices quoted are guideline only and may involve other non-Solos holidaymakers. If you wish to hire sunbeds and umbrellas down at the local beach the current cost is €10 per day for 2 beds plus a parasol.

Gratuities
There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of holiday, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €25.00 per week. 
 
Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate % add on.
Dress Code
Casual, cotton, lightweight daytime wear is the order of the day. Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes are ideal for the evening. Early and late season evenings can be cool so do ensure that you take a cardigan or jacket and even some rainwear – particularly in May and June when you may experience some spring thunderstorms followed by scorching days!
