Our host Mr. Drosos, his family and staff will make your stay a memorable one. Being exclusive to Solos guests, you'll have their undivided attention, helping to make the most of your stay at this charming family-run residence. The joy of this exclusive villa is that everything is within easy reach, including the Blue Flag awarded beach, a choice of bars and restaurants and even the bus stop at the end of the road, allowing you easy access to all the sights this delightful island has to offer. The rooftop plunge pools is the perfect spot to enjoy relaxing lazy days at the property and with easy access to the promenade, you won’t have to venture far in the evenings.

Parallel to the beach and lined with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and traditional tavernas, you will find the promenade is a big draw. The most difficult decision you’ll have to make each day is where to enjoy delectable Greek cuisine for dinner.

Our Location-Perissa, Santorini

The enchanting island of Santorini, famed for its dramatic cliffs adorned with white-washed architecture and blue-domed churches, enjoys glorious weather from early spring through autumn. Formed by a powerful volcanic event, its unique crescent shape presents iconic Mediterranean views along the west coast and distinctive volcanic sand beaches to the east. Nestled on the southeast coast, Perissa offers a particularly inviting escape with its stunning backdrop of dramatic scenery and whitewashed villas. Here, you can unwind under the Mediterranean sun on its Blue Flag awarded and sheltered black sand beach, all while having easy access to discover the myriad attractions that make Santorini so captivating.

Fabulous experience

Absolutely fabulous experience in Santorini! My first holiday with Solos and was made so much easier and enjoyable because of Debs who looked after us all week by booking restaurants and trips. The villa was clean and private with excellent facilities such as the individual terraces for each of the rooms. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and relaxed every day. There was no pressure to attend restaurants and trips and I met some fabulous people who I will hopefully stay in touch with! Can't recommend Solos enough :)

Made sure we ate together every night, planned trips and went extra mile to make stay comfortable. Villa Maistrali

Our small and quaint property allows convenient access to the promenade of shops, bars and restaurants that lie parallel to Perissa beach. It provides a great base in the popular resort of Perissa.

Facilities include:

Facilities include a rooftop plunge pool with loungers and a small pool bar. The breakfast room and some guest rooms are on the ground floor, but the rooftop pool and bar is only accessible by three flights of stairs.

Room includes:

Our 18 comfortable rooms are decorated in crisp white and pastel shades with modern furnishings including a double bed. All feature air-conditioning (payable locally), satellite TV, a fridge, kettle, safe, telephone and hairdryer. Most rooms have a small table and chairs on either the small terrace or balcony. A pool/beach towel is provided. Please note there is one room with no private terrace or balcony at the rear of the property in a quiet location on the ground floor. All rooms facilities are the same as detailed above.

Please note: Villa Maistrali does not have a lift and is therefore not ideal for people with walking difficulties.

Optional Excursions

You may wish to take an optional excursion during the course of your stay. Full details will be given at the Information Meeting. The prices quoted, are a guideline only, as these can vary, depending on numbers etc. All tours should be paid for in euros. Credit cards are not accepted.

Your Tour Leader will help arrange these for you but may not necessarily accompany you.

Exclusive to Solos Full Day Santorini Tour by Bus - Cost: €60 Day

This full day island tour takes in the highlights of this dramatic island including cliff top Oia, the cliff top village of Firostafani, Thira for shopping opportunities and a coffee with a view of the caldera, beachfront Kamari for lunch, the Monastery of Profitis Ilias and the ancient town of Megalocori.

Volcano Boat Trip - Cost: €60

After 15 minutes sailing over to the volcano we reach Nea Kameni where you can take part in an optional 1 hour walk or simply enjoy being on the boat. The second stop is Palea Kameni known for its hot springs which if you are able to swim 50m, you can enjoy the hot springs themselves. The final stop is the island of Thirasia where you can have lunch. Sailing back to port the boat takes us to the Caldera of Santorini, starting at the most norther point below the town of Oia where we get to view the Island from the sea with breath taking views.

All excursions need to paid for with cash. NOTE: Unless stated, these excursions will be joining other guests from other companies (English).

Gratuities

There is often confusion on the question of gratuities, since it frequently depends on the type of tour, location and, of course, your attitude towards tipping, as to what is normally expected. In order to give you a rough idea, we have given appropriate guidance below. Your Tour Leader will be on hand to offer advice or suggestions if required but gratuities are offered entirely at the sole discretion of the individual. We suggest a group collection to cover drivers, porters and hotel staff of €15.00 per week.

Your Tour Leader will collect this on your behalf and distribute it accordingly, thus relieving you of the burden of who, when and how much to tip. The tipping of housekeeping will be left to your individual discretion (a small amount left in your room on departure should cover this and would be much appreciated). As is customary, ‘the hat’ will be passed around for the driver and guide on all optional excursions. For any meals that are not included in your itinerary, or taxi fares, your Tour Leader can advise of an appropriate add on.

Dress Code

Casual, cotton, lightweight daytime wear is the order of the day. Comfortable shoes are a must for sightseeing. Smart casual clothes will be ideal for the evening. Early and late season evenings can be cool so do ensure that you take a cardigan or jacket and even some rainwear – particularly in May and June when you may experience some spring thunderstorms followed by scorching days!

Permissions

WhatsApp Group: Shortly before your holiday, you will be invited to join an optional WhatsApp group to connect with your fellow travellers and your Tour Leader. If you choose to join the WhatsApp group, you’re consenting to your phone number being visible to other travellers. Photos or messages may be shared within the group. Solos may use group content for marketing purposes. You can opt out at any time by emailing: [email protected].

If you would prefer not to join the WhatsApp group, you can simply meet the group on your first day instead. Please note, if you have not received an email within 24 hours of departure, we recommend you check your email junk folder. Upon the conclusion of your holiday, please be informed that we will close your specific holiday WhatsApp group. Therefore, we recommend making personal arrangements with those you wish to stay in touch with before the holiday concludes.

Photo Permissions: At the beginning of your trip, your Tour Leader will ask if you would be happy to sign a photo permission form. This means that any photographs taken during your holiday can be used by Solos to share what the Solos experience is all about. It also means you have lots of memories to go home with! Details will be given at your welcome meeting

Passport, Visa & Entry Requirements Greece

We recommend that you check passport and visa requirements for the country you are visiting at the State Department if you have a U.S. Passport. Most countries require that your passport have at least six months validity when traveling internationally, and many require that you have one to two blank visa pages for either an entry stamp or visa. As a general rule, please check that your passport has six months validity beyond your planned trip, and if not, please renew your passport with plenty of time to provide Solos with your updated passport information by the final payment due date.
